Kid Cudi Cast In 'Sonic The Hedgehog' Spin-Off Series 'Knuckles'
Kid Cudi is set to star in “Knuckles,” a Paramount+ spin-off series of Sonic the Hedgehog, according to Deadline.
Cudi shared the news on Instagram. “When life has more dreams for you to fulfill,” he captioned the post, adding, “its lit #knuckles @paramountplus.”
On his Twitter page, Cudi shared a photo showing his cat Sweets cuddled up to a tiny Knuckles plushie with its eyes half-open.
“Sweets is happy and excited about the Knuckles show,” he wrote.
According to Deadline, “Knuckles” will take place between the events of the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movies and will follow the titular animated character on “a hilarious and action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior.”
Cudi’s character details are yet to be announced. Edi Patterson, Julian Barratt and Ellie Taylor are also in the cast.
Idris Elba, who voiced the titular character in 2022’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2, will be reprising his role as Knuckles, alongside Adam Pally as Walt Whipple and Tika Sumpter as Maddie.
“Knuckles” is scheduled to premiere on Paramount+ on December 20, 2024.
