Kym Marsh breaks silence after marriage ‘split’ rumours from husband Scott

Rumours circulated this week that Kym Marsh has ended her 18-month marriage to army major Scott Ratcliff because of their busy schedules.

And now the former Coronation Street actress has broken her social media silence by paying tribute to the cast and crew of the show of Take That musical Greatest Days, where she is playing the lead character, ahead of the opening night.

Kym, 46, who has yet to address speculation of her separation from Scott, 34, shared a group photo on Instagram and said: "Posted this photo before but….. I just want to take this opportunity to say how proud I am of this cast and crew!

"This whole experience has been incredible and I truly feel so privileged to be part of it!!! We open tonight in Bromley! Let’s go SMASH it gang!!! This show is one I will “NEVER FORGET”

Kym, who will be on stage alongside her real-life daughter Emilie Cunliffe, married Scott in a gorgeous ceremony in Sandhurst back in October 2021 in a day exclusively covered by OK!.

The star seemed smitten as she told us post her nuptials: "I love being married to Scott too. Every so often he turns to me and goes, “Marshy, I have a wedding ring!”

Strictly star Kym and Scott are said to have called time on their marriage because Scott is based in army barracks down south, while Kym lives in Cheshire.

“They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while and they were only getting to see each other for one or two days a week at the very most,” a source told The Sun.

“Kym’s been so busy, and last year Strictly meant even her weekends were stacked up along with weekdays rehearsing.”

Scott and Kym got together in 2018 after meeting through mutual pal and her former Corrie co-star Antony Cotton. Scott proposed to Kym at Antony's house days before her 45th birthday in June 2021.

She told OK! for their engagement shoot: "I was thrilled to bits – I still am ridiculously happy and smiling like a Cheshire cat. We’d talked about our future together and where we thought we might go, so he knew I would absolutely say yes."

This is Kym's third marriage. She wed ex-EastEnders actor Jack Ryder in 2004, before they divorced seven years later.

She was also married to Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas, before they ended things two years later.
