‘My t**s almost exploded!’ Laura recalls the time she went away and forgot her breast pump as she shares candid post on Mother’s Day post
Laura Whitmore poked fun at the time she forgot to take her breast pump away with her which resulted in painful full breasts in a very candid Mother’s Day post.
The presenter, 37, who shares daughter Stevie Ré, two, with her husband Iain Stirling, 35, shared an old snap to Instagram.
She wrote: ‘Throwback to that time my breast pump broke the first night away from my baby and my t**s almost exploded. Happy Mother’s Day all!’
In the shot, the former Love Island host was wearing a brown bra which she had tucked a pair of breast pads into.
She was also sporting a gold necklace featuring a heart pendant and could be seen pulling an awkward expression.

Laura shared her latest read with fans in another snap, Gill Sims’ Why Mummy’s Get Sloshed, featuring the slogan, ‘Because the bigger the kids, the bigger the DRINK.’
Shortly after her baby’s birth, Laura fuelled speculation she’d named her Stevie Ré as she shared a personalised jacket with the moniker emblazoned on the back.
The Irish star had previously uploaded a Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks onesie with the singer’s song Gypsy playing in the background.
And the following month, Laura only added further fuel to the fire as she reminisced over the Glastonbury Festival in years gone by, and showed off the denim jacket with the name Stevie Ré embroidered on the back.
The denim jacket featured a large badge with the phrase, ‘Who run the world’ and a sweet crown embroidery.
The name could be inspired by Fleetwood Mac’s lead singer Stevie as sjhe and her husband Iain are big fans of the musician. Ré also appeared to be a nod to Laura’s roots, as the lesser used Irish word means moon.
Despite seemingly announcing her baby’s moniker, Laura failed to acknowledge the name on the jacket in the accompanying caption.
Instead, she focused on the importance of ‘having fun’, as she penned: ‘A few years ago at Glastonbury I bought the handmade “time to dance and play” sign somewhere in the healing fields en route to Shangri La.

‘I ended up wandering around by myself for a few hours, stumbling across different stages and tents. I look at this sign and remind myself of the importance of having fun.’
She concluded: ‘Life can get stressful. It can feel overwhelming. But it reminds me of the things that bring me joy in my life. So today, do something that brings you joy! Have a great weekend x.’
Her partner Iain revealed that he nearly missed the birth of his daughter, after his wife Laura sent him out to get Lucozade.
The comedian detailed Laura’s labour story on Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe’s Lockdown Parenting Hell podcast.
Iain recalled how Laura had sent him out to Tesco while she was 4cm dilated to get the sugary drink, but text when he was in the shop to hurry back to hospital because she was 9cm dilated.
The Love Island narrator had headed out to get a still isotonic drink as it helps give women a boost of energy during labour.
He said: ‘All I remember really is, Laura was amazing. All my job was, I was to get Laura Lucozade. That was the one thing.
‘She went “I need my Lucozade now”. I had got her actual Lucozade and it was too sugary.
Tease: Shortly after her baby’s birth, Laura fuelled speculation she’d named her Stevie Ré as she shared a personalised jacket with the moniker emblazoned on the back
‘I was meant to get her an isotonic. And I got really bad wine gums.’
Iain explained how he felt like he had “bags of time” because she was 4cm dilated, but still felt wary about leaving her.
He recalled: ‘I said to Laura “are you sure you want me walking about? It is quite dangerous for me to go anywhere”.’
But the Irish beauty was adamant she wanted the isotonic drink and so sent Iain out to pick some up.
However, while he was in the shop, Iain got a text from Laura saying she was 9cm dilated, meaning she was about to go into the active stage of labour.
‘I ran back and I got into the lift and it was the 7th floor. Three doctors got in the lift and they’re having a conversation about which floor they’re going to,’ Iain said.
‘I said “none of you press a f*****g button on this”. An actual doctor went to me, “I am one floor up”.
‘And I went “well you are going to be another 6 floors up”. I got there sweating.’
Luckily Iain made it in time to watch the birth of his baby daughter.
