Liam Reardon breaks silence on Millie Court reunion and addresses cheating rumours
Love Island’s Liam Reardon has broken his silence on rumours he is back together with Millie Court – while insisting he “never cheated” on her.
The 23 year old former bricklayer won the ITV2 dating show alongside Millie, 26, in 2021. But they split in July last year as they struggled to cope with the pressure of their newfound fame.
However, rumours their romance has been rekindled have been rife over recent weeks – with speculation intensifying after they were pictured on a cruise together with singer Jessica Yallup. Days later, they were spotted together again on the Spanish island of Ibiza.
Now Liam has confirmed that the pair are back together. And he has spoken out on the rumours that he cheated on Millie.
In an interview with MailOnline, the Welshman said: “Myself and Millie faced a lot of criticism, especially myself, when we broke up certain things came out about me cheating, which was obviously not true. I have never cheated.
“If people have something in their heads… you can't try and tell them otherwise, you just have to leave them to think what they think.”
The former Celebs Go Dating star went on to say he was glad to have ASOS ambassador Millie back in his life before teasing that they were ‘just very good friends’.
He added that dating in public was hard because they were well known – with people often photographing them when they are out and about. Liam said keeping relationships private was difficult – while adding that it was “frustrating” when people speculate about their relationship because they have not posted a ‘photo together for three days’.
“It is frustrating that people have this expectation of you when at the end of the day you're just a normal guy and girl dating,” he said.
The rumours of Liam and Millie’s romantic reunion began after they were spotted enjoying a romantic trip to the Lake District over Easter. Days before the trip, Millie confirmed that she was no longer single.
In a YouTube video, she addressed her relationship status, saying: “There has been a lot of rumours. I am going to confirm that I am dating someone but I'm not ready to tell you guys yet.”
Earlier this week, however, Liam and Millie unfollowed each other on Instagram – leaving fans confused about whether or not they were back together.
Following his split with Millie last year, Liam posted on Instagram : "It's been a difficult few months, with moving from my home in Essex to moving back to Wales and now back living back in Essex on my own.
"Break-ups can be very hard and being in the public eye just make it that extra bit more difficult to deal with especially when you have rumours etc coming out and people judging your character off something which isn't true.
"But I've been down and when you're down you can either stay down or do what you can to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move forward. And that's what I'm doing."
