Lisa Snowdon suffered miscarriage live on air hours after partner attacked her
This Morning: Lisa Snowdon emotional over menopause campaign
Lisa Snowdon bravely opens up in her new book about the horrific abuse she suffered at the hands of her ex-partners.
She says that two of her former boyfriends were so violent that one left her with severe injuries and another may have contributed to her suffering a miscarriage live on air.
Remembering the traumatic moment, Lisa writes in Just Getting Started that she desperately wanted to have children but doctors told her that she had just a three percent chance of conceiving naturally.
A while later she became pregnant and, despite being in a “destructive” relationship, she was excited to become a mum.
However, scans showed that the baby’s heartbeat was “faint” and it wasn’t growing as it should.
Then one night, her partner attacked her in the street and she started to miscarry just hours later.
She writes in an excerpt obtained by The Sun: “I rushed to the bathroom, full of panic. I didn’t know what to do. We’d only just gone on air, and I knew I had to keep working.”
Once the show had finished she rushed to the hospital. A scan then confirmed her “worst fear”, her baby had died.
Lisa added: “I am convinced the reason for my miscarriage was yes, partly due to the egg quality, but also because my partner had attacked me in the street the night before, shaking me violently and throwing me up against some metal shop-front shutters.”
The model has previously reflected on being in another abusive relationship when she was just 19 and at the start of her modelling career.

She says the man broke her arm so badly that she is still in “so much pain” to this day and has developed scoliosis, where the spine curves to the side.
Speaking on the She Loves Herself podcast in 2021, Lisa explained: “When we were first together there was lots of attention and the child in you who has craved that love for so long is so happy.
“But then eventually the attention you are getting from that person turns into a black eye, and somewhere in you, you are so damaged that you believe this is still a sign of affection, this is still attention so you stay there.”
Lisa’s book Just Getting Started: Lessons in Life, Love and Menopause will be published on May 25.
