Loose Women’s Kaye Adams, 60, getting first tattoo – and it’s a tribute to her mum
Kaye Adams has revealed that she intends to get her first tattoo, in celebration of her 60th birthday.
The Loose Women panelist has already decided on the design of the tattoo, which will be a tribute to her late mum, and she's already been researching tattoo parlours in Glasgow.
Kaye's late mum, Cathie, would never reveal how many years old she was to anyone – including a police officer one time.
When asked her age, Cathie would simply say "over 21", and those are the words that Kaye is going to get tattooed on herself, although she's still not decided on the exact location of the inking.
Speaking on her How to be 60 podcast, she added: “I’m just trying to work out where I put it, whether I put it on the inside of my wrist, or maybe down the side of my arm; I don’t know where to have it, or which font.”
Kaye started the podcast last year in order to confront her fears about reaching her milestone 60th birthday, as she believes she inherited her age-phobia from her mum, as she revealed she even told her own daughters she was ten years younger than she is.
Last year, Kaye revealed her late mum's brush with the law over her unwillingness to reveal her age as she said: “She was next level about it. She got stopped by the police for speeding once.
"My brother and I were quite little and we were in the back of the car and we all got taken to the police station because she wouldn’t tell the police officer her date of birth.
“All she would say was that she was over 21. My dad had to come and get us out by quietly revealing her age to the desk sergeant.”
Despite Kaye's How to Be 60 podcast welcoming a number of celebrity guests such as Jonathan Ross, she admitted that her mum Cathie, who died in 2018, would not have liked the podcast's title.
Kaye has spoken of her goals in life after turning 60, which include cutting back on work, spending more time with friends and "having more sex".
The star, who was the first to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2022, celebrated turning 60 with a bang as she posted a stunning swimsuit snap to Instagram.
She looked sensational in the red one-piece as her 20 year old daughter Charly captured her jumping in the air.
Hilariously, she revealed that Charly had "zoomed in on my groin" to check if she'd shaved, offering to airbrush the snap for her if she needed it.
Kaye shares two daughters, Charly and 16 year old Bonnie with her husband Ian Campbell.
