Love Island viewers were left less than impressed with Kai as he completely bottled out of pieing ex Olivia in the face during the latest challenge on Monday evening.
The teacher, 24, coped out of throwing pie in the ring girls, 27, face during the Snog Marry Pie game after they have previously had several arguments.
The pair both decided to recouple during Casa Amor and have since had tension between them after she labelled him a ‘game player’.
The game saw each Islander choose a fellow singleton to snog, another to marry before throwing a custard pie in a third’s face.
Fans branded Kai as a ‘coward’ as he opted to avoid Olivia and pied Tanya in the face instead, he married Lana and decided to snog partner Sanam.

One viewer wrote: ‘Kai should’ve just pied Olivia. Should’ve done it for the country’.
Another said: ‘All I have to say about this smog, marry, pie challenge is that Olivia’s face is WAY too dry and Kai is an absolute coward for not pie-ing her’.
A third added: ‘Nobody pieing Liv is literally because they’ve seen her drama and want none of it, you can’t tell me Kai didn’t want to pie her.’
‘Kai why did you not pie Olivia ffs,’ wrote a fourth.
‘I know Kai is wishing he gave Olivia the pie of a lifetime,’ said a fifth.
Another penned: ‘Kai silly for missing the opportunity to pie Olivia because without question she was always going to pie you’.
Olivia didn’t miss the opportunity as the girls swapped over and she got her chance to pie Kai in the face.
She said behind the reasoning of throwing the custard in his face: ‘I chose to pie this boy because you weren’t man enough to apologise’.

It comes after Olivia branded Kai as ‘fake’ last week and pulled him for a chat to ask him directly why he didn’t name her as most untrustworthy during the Knowing Me, Knowing You challenge.
The brunette says: ‘I was quite shocked you didn’t pick me,’ to which Kai told her: ‘I just want to squash the beef, that’s it.’
Olivia replied: ‘I completely want to squash it, but you picking Claudia for me was a bit of a cop out.’
Kai agreed with her: ‘Yeah it was, that’s exactly what it was.’
Olivia told him: ‘For me it confirms that maybe you are quite fake and for me I’d much rather you’d have just said, “Olivia and these are the reasons why I don’t think she’s genuine.”‘
It comes after Love Island fans were left baffled when Olivia demanded Kai apologise for the way he handled the Casa Amor recoupling.

The pair were together in a couple before being separated for Casa Amor, but both returned to the main villa with new partners.
During a chat with his new partner Sanam Harrinanan, 24, she said: ‘Olivia wants to talk to you, just to put water on the bridge, but she wants an apology’
Kai bluntly replied: ‘I’m not apologising to anyone’
After the chat, Kai said in beach hut: ‘Olivia wants an apology from me, I don’t really know what I’m apologising for and I can say one thing for sure, I’d be walking out that door before I apologise to her. It’s not coming from me because I’ve done nothing wrong’.
