MAFS UK’s April and Whitney look panicked amid last-minute dash into NTAs

Married At First Sight UK stars April Banbury and Whitney Hughes were spotted looking slightly panicking on Thursday evening as the duo made a last-minute dash to the National Television Awards at London’s OVO Arena in Wembley.

Dressed in a bronze toned satin gown, Whitney looked impeccable as she teetered on neutral coloured heels while racing to attend the hottest TV awards show of the year.

April meanwhile also opted for an equally slinky number, as her cerise pink dress was also made from a liquid satin fabric, that perfectly skimmed her slender frame.

Hand in hand with each other, the two were spotted swiftly hurrying along to the red carpet just minutes before the awards ceremony began, with the pair appearing slightly rushed as they raced to get there in time.

Hosted by The Masked Singer presenter, Joel Dommett, this year's show kicked off with a star studded musical performance courtesy of Eurovision's very own homegrown superstar Sam Ryder as the awards officially got underway.

Voted for entirely by viewers at home, this year’s nominees were left waiting on tenterhooks to see if they had done enough to impress the general public and take home the coveted trophy at the end of the night.

With categories ranging from New Drama right through to Best Talent Show Judge, the show celebrated all aspects of TV with a number of hotly contested titles up for grabs this year.

Among the famous faces nominated were Strictly Come Dancing winner and EastEnders actress Rose Eyling-Ellis, This Morning presenter Alison Hammond, Emmerdale ’s Paige Sandhu, money expert Martin Lewis, Drag superstar RuPaul and TV favourites Ant & Dec who retained their winning streak by bagging the Best Presenter award for the 21st year in a row.

Whitney and April weren’t the only reality stars in attendance at tonight’s show, with a number of famous faces from Gogglebox, Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing also stepping out in style.

Dressed in a show-stopping black gown, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu amped up the vampy chic as she styled her ebony gown with a slicked back hairdo, while posing alongside partner Davide Sanclimenti, who himself had opted for a charcoal suit and yellow tie.

Meanwhile, Strictly stars Nikita Kuzman and Ellie Simmonds took a break from their gruelling dance rehearsals to walk the red carpet in a crisp black tux and elegant pink gown, while adding a touch of elegance to the proceedings.

Even Gogglebox stars Dave and Shirley pulled out all the stops with their appearance, as the TV favourites took to the red carpet to impress guests in attendance with a blue suit and black dress combo.
