She’s the twice Oscar-nominated actress known for her critically acclaimed roles in Bombshell and I, Tonya.

But Margot Robbie has proved she’s been committed to her roles since her first breakout part in Hollywood.

The Australian actress, 32, made her big break in Wolf of Wall Street in 2013 – and insisted on being completely nude in the Martin Scorsese hit.

Speaking to the The Telegraph in 2014, the star said she was ‘apprehensive’ about her nude body being immortalised online, but when the director offered to tone the scenes down for her comfort, she turned him down.

In the recently resurfaced interview, the former Neighbours star, who was 23 at the time, said: ‘I think nudity for the sake of nudity is shameful. If they’ve put it in just so that a girl gets her top off, then that’s disgusting. And you can always tell.

‘But I also think it’s disgusting when someone would have got naked in real life, in the film they conveniently leave their bra on, or hold up the bed sheet. Seeing someone being choreographed into being covered up irritates me just as much.’

‘So when Marty [Scorsese] was trying to help me out, and said in the scene where she seduces Jordan perhaps I could have a robe on, I said she wouldn’t. She has to be naked. She’s laying her cards on the table.’

The actress said in a further interview that she had to ‘really deeply commit’ to the scene.

Speaking to Porter in 2018, she revealed: ‘It doesn’t come across when you’re watching the movie, but in reality we’re in a tiny bedroom with 30 crew crammed in.

Critics have piled on to the David O.Russell-directed film – his first since under-performing Joy in 2015 – with the majority agreeing it’s an overcooked mess that not even its all-star cast can rescue.

Clocking a paltry 33 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, Amsterdam – which co-stars Christian Bale and John David Washington – stars Robbie as former WWI army battalion nurse Valerie Voze who helps Bale and Washington investigate a murder.
