Mark Wright rubs shoulders with pop royalty as he makes US TV return
Mark Wright hasmade his return to US TV and shared some snaps with Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Ryan Seacrest as he made his big comeback.
The former TOWIE star, 36, interviewed the American Idol judges and presenter for US entertainment show EXTRA TV, which he previously presented from 2017 until 2020.
Posting to Instagram, Mark was all-smiles as he posed alongside the pop royalty. Captioning the snaps, he wrote: "Back behind the [microphone emoji] for @extratv great fun with the @americanidol gang @katyperry @lionelrichie @ryanseacrest."
Mark's friends and fans were quick to comment on the snaps, as was his mum, Carol, who sweetly shared how proud she was, writing: "Incredible @wrighty_ very proud of you. Xx [five heart emojis]."
"Brilliant work you deserve it well done," added a fan, while another penned: "How lucky Katy Perry and Lionel Ritchie wow xxx"
It comes after Mark paid a sweet tribute to his wife Michelle Keegan, ahead of her new show Ten Pound Poms airing on BBC One.
Sharing a throwback snap of the pair in Australia, where the TV show was filmed, Mark wrote: "Here we are, back in July 2022 in Sydney Australia, where this incredibly, talented, hard working special little wife of mine spent 5 months last year working her butt off, filming her new show Ten Pound Poms!!
"Tonight we finally get to see it on our screens and I’m so b****y excited and proud."
Michelle responded to the sweet post with a row of red heart emojis.
Mark recently opened up about the beginning of his romance with Michelle, revealing he "chased" the actress for a whole year before eventually winning her over.
In an appearance on the Private Parts podcast, hosted by former Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing, Mark recalled: "I chased her for a while. Basically she gave me the elbow for about a year and then finally I got my way, after a lot of work."
He then joked: "I don't know who was harder to crack actually, her or my American boss. Probably her, and that's saying something."
Mark and Michelle went public with their romance in 2013 at the Inside Soap Awards, where they made their red carpet debut together.
Just nine months later, while on holiday in Dubai, Mark asked the soap star to marry him and she accepted. They went on to tie the knot in 2015 in a star-studded ceremony at St Mary's Church in Bury St Edmunds.
Mark and Michelle have spent long periods apart throughout their marriage, with both their careers taking them out of the UK. Michelle has had to jet off to places such as Australia and South Africa for filming, while Mark has often jetted off to America for various projects, including Extra TV.
In recent months, the couple have been focusing on completing work on their sprawling Essex mansion as well as a holiday home in Spain.
