Matt Goss sells Vegas possessions including Loose Women mug ahead of UK return
Matt Goss has reportedly been selling his possessions in Vegas as he gears up to return to the UK.
The 53 year old singer-songwriter and musician has been living and performing in the US for the last 25 years, but is set to make his grand comeback in England with his appearance on Strictly Come Dancing next month.
Preparing for the next adventure, it appears the Bros star is selling all his belongings, including teabags and his own Loose Women mug.
“Matt threw open his doors to shoppers," a source told The Sun. "There is some amazing Bros memorabilia and also some random stuff."
They continued: “There are old mugs he has collected throughout his career, one which came from Loose Women. People have been rummaging through and picking out the best mementos they can find."
Explaining how keen fans are to get their hands on the best items for sale, the source added: “It’s so rare for a famous person to do this so it’s been pretty popular.”
Once the collection is off to new homes, Matt will start making his way to the UK, where he's set to compete against the likes of Loose Women's Kaye Adams and Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh on Strictly.
The news of Matt joining the star-studded line-up as the eighth contestant was announced on ITV's This Morning by hosts Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle on 8 August.
Matt, who was dressed in a lime green suit and wide-brimmed hat, came out from behind a screen as confetti rained down over his head.
He told hosts Josie and Craig: “I’m excited, I’m nervous. You have the conversation and then you go about your day and you think, ‘I’ve got to dance.’ I’m eating everything that’s favourable to Spandex. I’ve got to make sure it’s alright, I’m excited.”
He added: “I’ve been almost reclusive. I come in [to the country], I work and go back to America. I just thought, ‘You know what, it’s time for me to come home, just do something completely out of my comfort zone'
"I’m quite shy off stage. I just have to face all those demons and just learn.”
He will have to get on his dancing shoes to impress judges Motsi Mabuse, 41, Shirley Ballas, 61, and Craig Revel Horwood, 57, as well as Anton Du Beke, 56, who will be a permanent judge this series.
