Michael Caine seen using mobility aid as he’s supported by pal David Walliams
Best Sellers: Aubrey Plaza and Michael Caine star in comedy
Sir Michael Caine, 90, was seen relying on the support of his trusty mobility aid on a night out, after undergoing surgery on his back last year.
As he left private members club Oswald’s, the A-lister was seen being helped into his taxi by his wife Shakira, 75, and former Britain’s Got Talent judge David Walliams, 51.
The Little Britain comedian was on hand to lend a supportive arm to the Harry Brown actor, as he gave Shakira a kiss on the cheek.
Sir Michael appeared in good spirits as he sat in the taxi with Shakira, to whom he has been married since 1973, on their way home.
He looked suited and booted in a navy suit and light blue shirt, while Shakira was glowing in a white blazer to emphasise her radiant looks.
Also present was Elton John’s husband David Furnish, 60 – another celebrity guest at the high-profile venue – who posed for pictures with David outside.
The Academy Award-winning actor has been using a walking stick in public since 2018 after a nasty fall on ice left him with a broken ankle.
It comes after his wife Shakira confirmed last year that Michael had undergone a major operation at a London hospital.

“He had a back operation quite recently,” she told the Daily Mail.
“He had spinal stenosis,” she added.
However, the former model confirmed that “the operation was fantastic”, adding: “He’ll be up and dancing again soon”.
The NHS describes spinal stenosis as a condition that narrows the spinal canal and can cause back and leg pain. Surgery is usually recommended only when non-surgical treatments have not been effective.
Appearing on BBC Radio’s Kermode and Mayo’s Film Review programme, the actor said that his most recent film Best Sellers is likely his last.
The mid-budget comedy-drama, in which he stars as a cranky, reclusive author butting heads with a modern publisher played by Aubrey Plaza, has “turned out to be what is my last part really,” he said.
The two-time winner of the Best Supporting Actor Oscar (for Hannah and Her Sisters and The Cider House Rules) remarked: “I haven’t worked for two years, and I have a spine problem which affects my legs so I can’t walk very well.
