Nicola Peltz fans confused by ‘pregnancy announcement’ after bare stomach pose

Nicola Peltz left fans confused by her recent Instagram post, as some thought she was making a pregnancy announcement.

The 28 year old star, who is married to Brooklyn Beckham, 23, bared her stomach and help up a piece of paper, looking much like an excited mum-to-be showing off her first scan snap on Insta.

Despite the honed abs on show in crop top and sweatpants, fans were confused. One person commented: "Omg I thought it was a pregnancy announcement," whilst another wrote: "Baby news i thought," as a third added: "Looks like a baby bump to me..!" and a fourth questioned: "Pregnant?" with two red love heart emojis.

But one of Nicola's followers appeared to put the baby rumours to rest as they explained: "In the 1961 film this is probably based on the main character Lola is pregnant, so I'm guessing this is meant to look like she's pregnant for film."

In another photo, actress Nicola bared her underwear as she sat in a dressing gown with her legs apart, whilst in a third snap, she sat in a car and the fourth appeared to show her hugging a director on-set.

She captioned the post: "Some lola film," which appeared to announce that she'd been working on a film, which was backed up in the comments by her BFF Selena Gomez, who wrote: "Ugh ready to see this film!!!!!"

Brooklyn, the son of celebrity power couple David and Victoria Beckham, showed his support for his wife as he commented on the post: "So so so proud of you baby xxx".

He also reposted it on his Instagram stories, as he wrote: "So proud of you x can't believe you wrote directed and starred in this [red heart emoji] love you x". OK! has contacted Nicola and Brooklyn's representatives for comment.

Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot in April 2022, in a lavish multi-million pound ceremony that took place at Nicola's family's palatial Malibu mansion.

It was attended by the likes of Brooklyn's famous parents, David and Victoria, and his siblings, as well as Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, Latin singer Marc Anthony – who performed at the wedding – and the Beckhams' BFF, Gordon Ramsay and his wife Tana.

But, since the extravagant nuptials, there has been plenty of drama, including rumours of a feud between Nicola and her new mother-in-law, Victoria, and an expensive lawsuit launched by Nicola's father against her wedding planners.

Model Nicola's billionaire father Nelson Peltz, 80, has taken legal action against Nicole Braghin and Arianna Grijalba, owners of Plan Design Events, demanding the return of the huge $159,000 (£132k) deposit paid to them for helping to plan his daughter's 2022 wedding.

Nelson is seeking the money based on claims that "mistakes" were made by the wedding planning pair during their nine days working for the family.
