Offset Unveils Release Date of His Sophomore Album
The 30-year-old rapper, who has been releasing new singles without his Migos bandmates amid split rumors, has yet to inform his online devotees of the title of his forthcoming record.
AceShowbiz –Offset will release new music soon. Making use of social media, the one-third of Migos revealed the release date of his sophomore album but not its title.
The 30-year-old, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephu, shared the announcement on his Twitter account. “11/11/22,” he tweeted, before adding in a follow-up post, “Album !!!!!!!!”
Offset recently two singles, “5 4 3 2 1” on August 19 as well as Moneybagg Yo-assisted track, “CODE”. The rapper also gave them music video treatments, the latter of which features a guest appearance from Bella Hadid.
Both songs do not feature either of Offset’s other two Migos collaborators, Quavo and Takeoff. In recent months, the two rappers have been releasing music on their own as Unc & Phew amid Migos split rumors. They released “Hotel Lobby” on May 20 and “Us vs. Them” ft. Gucci Mane in late July.
The trio hasn’t addressed the breakup speculations. However, what’s obvious, the husband of Cardi B has issue with the group’s label, Quality Control Records. He is suing the label for allegedly ignoring a deal they made back in January 2021.
In the legal docs filed on August 23, Offset stated that he “paid handsomely” for his artist rights. However, the label reportedly is not honoring the deal. The emcee claimed that it attached the label name to his recent single, “5 4 3 2 1”, on streaming services.
Offset also accused its CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas of blackballing him. He responded to Pee’s tweet that read, “The last lawsuit was filed publicly and dismissed quietly. Let’s see how this one go. Been to real for all this lame s**t. Everyone know the real problem.”
In his own post, Offset argued, “N***as act like Im the problem I paid millions to get my rights back.” He further fumed, “N***a you blackballed me I ain’t said s**t one time homie I ain’t spoke to you in 2 years now I drop and you want ya name on my credit?”
