Perrie Edwards shares rare sweet snap of son Axel as she teases ‘exciting’ news

Perrie Edwards has shared a rare and incredibly sweet photo of her 10 month old son Axel, who she shares with Liverpool footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The snap shows the former Little Mix member, 28, and her little one enjoying enjoying the sun. It's unclear what Axel was enjoying more, the sun or the ice cream which adorned much of his face.

As well as sharing the heartwarming photo to her Instagram story, Perrie also teased her 15.4 million followers that she had just finished an "exciting week of meetings".

It's unclear exactly what these meetings could be about but it could be yet another indication that her upcoming solo album is nearing completion.

The singer had previously teased she was working on something without Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock in February.

At the time she took to Instagram to post a a series of snaps, showing her standing in a recording booth without her Little Mix bandmates.

The 28 year old posted a similar cryptic message, telling her fans "exciting things are coming".

In December 2020, Little Mix announced that they would not be "splitting up" but would instead be "taking a break" following the final performance in their Confetti Tour.

The girl group reassured fans, saying: "We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future."

As well as sharing their son Axel, Perrie and Alex, 28, have been together for six years with the footballer recently popping the all important question on 18 June.

And now the pair are engaged, a source close to the couple told OK! that Perrie is "living her dream".

The source told us: "This is what Perrie has always wanted. She has a ring on her finger from a beautiful man and they have an adorable baby together, she's living her dream.

"She's working on her solo music and is really excited about getting that out there and planning her dream wedding."

If the wedding theme is left up to her we might see Alex walk down the aisle with Mickey and Donald Duck as his groomsmen with Perrie previously hinting she would like a Disney themed wedding.

In 2014, she described herself as a "big child" but later stated that a beach ceremony could be a possibility with Barbados being the ideal spot to tie the knot.
