Phillip Schofield has been branded the ‘monster of daytime TV’ by a relationship expert who has regularly appeared on This Morning.
Louise Van Der Velde, who has appeared on the show to give love life advice, launched a blistering attack on Phil, 61, on Tuesday after he put on a united front with Holly Willoughby, 42, in the midst of their ongoing feud.
Appearing on GB News, relationship guru Louise called for Phil to be axed and said she found him ‘arrogant’ and ‘fake’.
She told host Dan Wootton: ‘My outlook has always been, whenever I am on, to be respectful to people and you kind of expect the same treatment back.
‘With Phil, he is like this monster of daytime TV. He is rude, people have to sit still and speak when they are spoken to – it’s just a very aggressive attitude.

‘He is fake’: Appearing on GB News, relationship guru LouiseeVan Der Velde called for Phil to be axed and said, in her experience, she found him ‘arrogant’ and ‘fake
‘No matter how nice I have been, he has been arrogant. He is all nice and all smiles for the camera and jolly…
‘But frankly he is fake and it’s time he got the boot.’
Van Der Velde, a sex therapist who is known as the Pleasure Professor, is a regular on daytime TV and has appeared as a panellist on Jeremy Vine on Channel 5 and Lorraine on ITV and many other TV shows.
Louise said while she found Phillip judgmental, Holly was ‘warm’ and ‘sisterly’.
She said: ‘I expect to be challenged and don’t mind a bit of controversy. But he is judgey.
‘I went on that show many, many times. I am speaking about honesty, integrity and alignment in relationships. I speak about people having affairs – that is a big topic of mine.
‘He scowled at me and looked down his nose at me with his judgey attitude.
‘I think it’s about time he stopped having this privileged position and it’s definitely not Holly who should be going.

Shake-up: Phil is reportedly facing the sack from This Morning in summer shake-up, while Holly is said to be considering quitting the show
‘She is lovely, warm and sisterly. I don’t know how Holly has put up with him for this long.’
MailOnline has contacted Phil’s representatives for comment.
Phillip is trying to ‘tough out’ the ongoing row after it emerged he had called in his own lawyers over the fallout with his co-presenter, sources have revealed. He has also employed a new PR man to help improve his press coverage.
Phillip and Holly have yet to address their feud on air and have continued to broadcast their show as usual – despite losing 170,000 viewers in a week.
Figures revealed Monday’s episode had an average of 726,720 people watching compared to 894,000 on the same day last week. Peak viewership was also significantly down at 914,000 compared to 1.058million on May 8.
By contrast, the duo pulled in 1.3m viewers for their 2022 Christmas show and an average of 1.4m in the first four weeks of 2021.
Senior figures at ITV called a crisis meeting following a wave of negative social media feedback about Monday’s show.
After seeing the reaction on Twitter, with viewers panning both Holly and Phillip, ITV bosses are pondering what to do next.
One source told the Daily Mail: ‘Social media is used as a barometer to see what the public think. Those in charge were left no under no illusion that it was a total disaster.
‘It was painful for the This Morning team to work on and it was just as painful for them to watch.
‘There was a meeting afterwards to discuss how it went that went on for some time. To be honest, everyone was just so relieved to get it over with, but even if the show does continue to go on for some time, it will continue to be a massive headache.’
Brand expert Mark Borkowski, also interviewed on Dan Wootton Tonight, said it was time for ITV to revamp This Morning.
He said: ‘This pairing does not feel authentic. Perhaps it is time for a reboot for This Morning.
‘There are a whole host of people who could take up the reins on this show.’
Louise was then asked by Dan if she would be boycotting the show while Schofield remained as a presenter.
Van Der Velde, who appeared on Real Housewives of Cheshire last month giving sex and relationship tips to the stars including Atomic Kitten legend Natasha Hamilton, replied: ‘Absolutely. I am one of the thickest skinned people on the planet but the fact is, he (Schofield) is rude and arrogant and smarmy and so disrespectful.
‘Everyone should be boycotting that show as far as I am concerned.
‘Holly should step away from him. It’s really bad for her brand.’
Louise still appears regularly on TV and has launched a successful events business, Future Love Events, with other business gurus and life coaches.
They are hosting a five-day extravaganza from May 24-28 during the Cannes Film Festival featuring top DJs, beach and yacht parties and a trip to the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix.
