Phoebe Bridgers Shares Cover Of The Handsome Family’s ‘So Much Wine’ For Charity

Phoebe Bridgers recently released a new cover of “So Much Wine,” the Handsome Family‘s Christmas song.

The single features fiddle, whistling, and vocals from Andrew Bird and background vocals from actor Paul Mescal. It also features Ethan Gruska, Marshall Vore, Sebastian Steinberg and Harrison Whitfort.

Bridgers produced “So Much Wine” along with her longtime collaborators Tony Berg and Ethan Gruska.

Proceeds from the single will go toward the Los Angeles LGBT Center, which is one of the few federally qualified health centers with providers who specialize in substance abuse treatment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people and people living with HIV.

Bridgers previously covered “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” Tom Waits‘ “Day After Tomorrow,” Merle Haggard‘s “If We Make It Through December,” Simon & Garfunkel‘s “7 O’Clock News / Silent Night,” and McCarthy Trenching‘s “Christmas Song.”
