It comes after Coldplay fans were brought to tears earlier this month after lead singer Chris pulled a fan up on stage to sing a tribute to his late friend who had passed away.
The Paradise singer, who is currently in the middle of his band’s Music Of The Sphere world tour, made sure the first of his two nights in Cardiff was one to remember.
Midway through his set, the musician spotted a man in the crowd who was holding up a banner asking to sing alongside the vocalist in dedication to his late friend.
The sign read: ‘Play Everglow with me for my best friend in heaven.’
A concert-goer was able to catch the moment on camera as the man, named Salir, joined Chris on stage at his piano for a rendition of the band’s song.

In the clip, Chris, donning a tie-dyed T-shirt, asked in reference to the sign: ‘When did he pass away?’
Salir then informed the singer that it was only a month ago that he lost his friend.
Reacting to the sad news, Chris said: ‘Last month. Okay, man. S**t.
‘Well, we’re gonna sing this together for him, okay?’
As the pair prepared to start the song, the stadium can be seen erupting in cheer, as Salir nods in delight.
Just before starting, Chris joked: ‘The song Everglow by Coldplay? Just to be clear.’
Salir can then be seen laughing as he waves to the crowd, before the lights dim and Chris starts singing.
Chris then thanked him for coming, adding: ‘Right now, you’re representing everybody else.’
Pulling him in for a hug, Chris added: ‘This is how I feel about the audience.
‘I’m gonna listen to you singing. If I think you’re good enough, I’m going to move the microphone closer to you and if I think you’re terrible we’re gonna smile at you really politely and keep the microphone like this.’
The clip then cuts to the middle of the song where the pair can be seen singing, with Salir putting his hand to his chest and closing his eyes.
He then raises his hand to the sky and belts out to his friend as Chris pushes the microphone closer to him.
