Prince William and Princess Kate Travel to Sandringham to Visit Tributes For the Queen

Today, Prince William and Princess Kate traveled to Sandringham to visit the many floral tributes left by mourners for the late Queen Elizabeth II.

The Prince and Princess of Wales admired the flower arrangements—which were left outside the palace’s Norwich Gates—for about 30 minutes before returning to the palace.

For the occasion, Will and Kate wore elegant mourning attire.

The princess opted for a chic black midi dress and matching structured blazer, which she paired with black sheer stockings and pointed-toe pumps. She accessorized simply, with diamond-and-pearl earrings, a silver-and-diamond cross necklace, and her sapphire-and-diamond engagement ring, which once belonged to Princess Diana. Her hair was curled into elegant waves, and she wore natural makeup.

William, meanwhile, wore a dark navy suit and black tie with a white dress shirt and black dress shoes.

Last weekend, following the queen’s death, the pair also took time to admire the floral tributes left outside Windsor Castle and invited Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan to join them. At the time, Harry and William matched in navy suits and ties, while Kate and Meghan coordinated in black dresses.

The four also reunited yesterday at the procession of Queen Elizabeth’s coffin and, later, at an emotional reception at Westminster Hall. The late monarch’s coffin was moved from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Hall in London. There, it will lie in state for four days, and mourners will be able to visit it to pay their respects ahead of her funeral on Monday, September 19.
