GenX Radio Suffolk have announced the death of radio presenter Tim Gough, who reportedly died while on air this morning. The station posted on their social media accounts, writing: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to inform you, our dear friend and breakfast host Tim Gough passed away this morning whilst presenting his program.
“Our love to his family, son, sister, brother and mum.
“Tim was doing what he loved. He was 55 years old.”
Tim is said to have been an hour into his slot this morning when music stopped playing halfway through a song with no explanation.
The music resumed moments later, however it’s reported Tim didn’t return.
The station later confirmed he had died.
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for GenX Radio Suffolk for comment.
Tributes have flooded in for the late presenter on Twitter this afternoon.
Steve Jordan commented: “I am absolutely heartbroken.”
Steph Miskin added: “Tim had so much love for his friends and family. You couldn’t meet a nicer man than Tim.
“A beautiful soul who we miss so very much.”
Matt wrote: “Oh no, that’s absolutely dreadful news. RIP Tim, a truly great bloke.”
Alistair Miskin typed: “I feel numb and heartbroken to lose such a good, kind-hearted friend. All my thoughts are with Isaac and his family.”
