Raquel Leviss & Lala Kent Go At It In THAT Vanderpump Rules Scene Andy Cohen Warned Us About!
Remember how Andy Cohen teased this week’s new episode of Vanderpump Rules by saying how gobsmacked he was at its unplanned perfect timing? You know, by claiming this ep’s controversy came up on its own without producers re-editing shots in the days after Tom Sandoval‘s shocking affair came to light?!
Well, on Wednesday night, the world finally got to see what Andy has been talking about. And he was right!!!
Raquel Leviss was front and center during this week’s new ep of the Bravo hit, of course. Her sparring partner for this VPR showdown was none other than Lala Kent. She has never been known to hold back, either. So right as the key part started to play out, we could immediately tell things were going to get juicy!!
In the scene, Lala confronts Raquel over her decision to make a move on Garcelle Beauvais‘ son Oliver Saunders — who was reportedly married at the time — while the cast was out in Sin City. Leviss acknowledged she was drunk when the Las Vegas lust went down, but to Lala, that was NOT a legitimate excuse.
Ocean Kent Emmett‘s momma laid down a firm line in the sand, telling Raquel:
“I will say, you drinking, I would never trust you around my man. Never.”
We mean…
In response, Raquel simply shrugged it off!! She dismissed Lala with a shady comment about her newly-single life after cutting things off with Randall Emmett:
“I mean, like, thank God you don’t have a man to like f**ing have around.”
Ouch!!!
Lala was NOT happy with that snappy remark. But instead of fighting, she told Raquel it was time to “shut it down” and go to bed. The Utah native then dismissed Raquel with a proverbial wave of the hand:
“Have a good rest of the trip.”
But that wasn’t all! Oh, no. There is SO much more here!!
After that shocking scene, Lala spoke with Katie Maloney and Kristina Kelly to explain her misgivings about Leviss’ apparent attraction to taken men. Speaking candidly about protecting her own heart and whatever future love interests she might bring around Raquel, Kent told her pals that she walked away from the 28-year-old to avoid a physical fight. Jeez!
Lala then added:
“I feel nervous at this point in my life with anyone who’s gonna be a liability and who’s unpredictable.”
Remember, this all went down months before Scandoval ever came to light!! What timing… But again, considering Kent’s own unfortunate history with Randall’s reputed infidelities, we totally get it.
Then, in a confessional, Kent shared more of her frustrations:
“If Raquel were not wasted right now, I’d put the bitch right back in her grave.”
Whoa!
Maloney saw this tiff as her time to air some grievances, too. Of course, Katie had been feuding with Raquel for a while after Leviss previously made her interest very clear towards Maloney’s now-ex-husband Tom Schwartz. So seeing Lala go through a similar sitch with Raquel was too much for Katie to ignore!
In one jaw-dropping statement, Maloney slammed Leviss like this:
“Mrs. ‘I’m gonna make out with your man.’ … Hide your kids, hide your boyfriend, hide your boyfriend, hide your boyfriend.”
Then, in a confessional, Katie doubled down:
“I’m starting to see a pattern in Raquel. It seems that she’s only interested in men that her friends are either married to or interested in, and that is a big red flag for me.”
Holy s**t!
That was pretty much the blueprint for Scandoval TO A T! Clearly, the VPR girls been knew about Raquel’s romantic tactics!!!
Leviss did appear to show some guilt at that point. She had been secretly listening in on her co-stars’ convo (natch), and the infidelity accusations brought her to tears. Raquel later cried and claimed she was merely “getting drunk and having fun,” and was sick of her cast mates “judging” her so harshly.
Then, when she sobered up, Raquel actually apologized to Lala! Sort of. Leviss did admit she felt “embarrassed” about how their initial exchange went down. Then, she insinuated that she didn’t quite remember the full chain of events.
Kent didn’t buy that walk-back, though. Lala left Raquel with this closer:
“I think anybody who is a woman would take offense to what you said. Do you feel that way? Like if someone said, ‘I don’t know that I’d feel comfortable if you had one too many drinks around my dude,’ do you really feel like, ‘well if you can’t keep him, then here I am!’ Do you feel that way?”
Shortly after the gals got to Arizona for part deux of Katie’s divorce celebration, Charlie Burnett and Raquel left the trip over various heated exchanges — namely Lala being pissed James Kennedy’s ex called her a mistress. The BIG kicker here is they drove back to LA to crash a guys night with Sandoval, Schwartz, and others. Seems like Rachel was a bit too eager to run back into the arms of a certain Tom!
So there you have it!
Like we said up top, Andy Cohen previously teased this week’s episode as “shocking,” and said viewers “won’t believe it.” Turns out it was shocking, and we didn’t believe it! But now we do — having seen it and all. LOLz!
Seriously, tho: it’s crazy to think this story arc was filmed way before news came out that Raquel had been seeing Tom for months behind his then-girlfriend Ariana Madix‘s back. Truly the ultimate foreshadowing!!!
