S Club 7 band mates pay emotional tribute to brother Paul Cattermole
Paul Cattermole on Lorraine talks S Club 7
S Club 7 fans were thrilled earlier this year when it was announced that all seven would be reuniting once again on stage for a UK and Ireland arena tour to celebrate their 25th anniversary. The band had been promoting their upcoming concerts on TV and at press events so the excitement was building for those who loved the Reach for the Stars group in the noughties. So fans have been left stunned today [Friday, April 7] after hearing that band member Paul Cattermole has died.
Paul was found at his home in Dorset yesterday, Thursday, April 6, and was pronounced dead later that afternoon.
His death, aged 46, comes after the iconic noughties band S Club 7 revealed they would be getting back together in February.
Following the heartbreaking news, singers Rachel Stevens, Tina Barrett, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara and Hannah Spearitt took to social media to share their tribute.
Alongside an old photograph of Paul during the S Club 7 heydays, they said they were “thankful” for all of the memories they shared together.
The band’s tribute reads: “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul.
“There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel.
“We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.
“He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us.
“We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.”

According to The Sun, a source said: “Everyone is in pieces.
“Hannah and the rest of the gang broke down when told what happened. No one can believe it.
“There is a real sense of horror and disbelief.”
Paul and Hannah became friends when they were teenagers at the National Youth Music Theatre.
They got together in 2011 after their “romance” was written into their show LA 7 but broke up in 2006.
Paul and Hannah rekindled their romance in 2015, a year after S Club 7’s reunion and split up again a few months later.
