Shakira joins Lewis Hamilton for sun-soaked boat trip in Miami

Following the intense Grand Prix on Sunday, racer Lewis Hamilton, 38, was spotted picking up Shakira, 46, for a sun-soaked day around Biscayne Bay.

Dressed in a frilled bikini with matching lilac shorts, Shakira appeared to struggle getting onboard a boat behind her £16 million Miami Beach mansion.

Lewis was quick to help, jumping onto the pier and offering the Hips Don’t Lie singer a hand, which she accepted to climb down into the yacht.

The Mercedes driver donned a white cap, sunglasses and a black tank top with checkered swimming trunks, showing off some of his distinctive tattoos as he stretched out to grab the roof of the boat.

The pair were joined by a few of Lewis’ friends, and some inflatable crocodiles, as they cruised around the bay in the Florida heat.

Late in the afternoon, the boat returned to Shakira’s home, dropping the singer off before Lewis and his entourage seemingly continued their day out at sea.

Shakira has been seen hanging out with the racer multiple times over the last week although they are believed to just be friends.

The Try Everything singer is newly-single after splitting from her long-term partner Gerard Pique last summer.

The couple had been together for over two decades and share two children, Sasha, eight, and Milan, 10.

Shakira returned to Miami after the split, having lived with Gerard in Barcelona over the course of their relationship.  

On Sunday, the singer appeared at the Miami International Autodrome, where Lewis was racing in the 5th Grand Prix of the season and ultimately placed 6th.

While the Mercedes driver was fixated on his sport, Shakira was spotted mingling with Tom Cruise quickly sparking rumours and reports of their relationship.

A source told Page Six that the Top Gun star is “extremely interested in pursuing” Shakira and that there “is chemistry” between them.

However, just before Shakira headed out on the water with Lewis a source told Us Weekly that the singer found the rumours “hilarious” and slammed claims that they were “courting”.

The source explained that although the mum-of-two “had a great time” and “enjoyed his company” at the race, she simply wasn’t interested in the actor.

They insisted that following her split with Gerared, Shakira is only “focused on her career and kids for now”.
