So…Harry Is Reportedly Writing a New, Last-Minute Chapter to Change the Ending of His Memoir

Looks like we won’t have to wait for a sequel memoir to find out how Prince Harry felt about the recent death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

According to a new report from the Daily Mail‘s royal columnist Richard Eden, Harry is reportedly working on a new, last-minute chapter for the memoir, which will “end on the Queen’s funeral.” Eden’s source for the tip is actually identified (which is not at all the norm for royal insider gossip/most updates about Harry’s memoir the world has gotten since it was announced) Lord Jeffrey Archer, a royal author and former friend of Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.

The royal insider is apparently super worried about the effect the new chapter will have on Harry’s relationship with the rest of the royal family.

“I’m very sad,” he told the Daily Mail. “I fear for the book. I know they’re writing the chapter on the funeral, so I suppose that’s what the book will end on.”

Harry’s memoir was initially expected to be released this fall, but has reportedly been pushed to 2023. The delay comes amid recent reports that Harry is “desperate” to make changes to the book in light of his father, King Charles, taking the throne.

FWIW, the only *official* word on the memoir remains the official statements released by Harry and his publisher, Penguin Random House, back when the project was announced in the summer of 2021.
