Stacey Solomon says shell legally register marriage after private blessing at Pickle Cottage
Stacey Solomon has announced she and Joe Swash are having a "relaxed private blessing" in front of their close friends and family at their home of Pickle Cottage and will register their marriage legally at a later date.
The 32 year old, who recently shared an update on her upcoming nuptials as she trialled make up, took to her Instagram feed to clear up any confusion around her Essex home wedding after a fan asked how it all works.
"So excited for you and your family. Being nosey but I always wanted to get married at home and didn't think you could? How does it work?" one of her 5.3million followers questioned, followed by a black heart emoji.
Reposting the message, Stacey explained: "To get married anywhere legally, the place has to have a "civil ceremony" licence.
"One of the requirements for this liscence is that the premises must be made "readily available" for ceremonies…"
The Loose Women panellist said this isn't something she and fiancé Joe, 40, wanted to do as she continued: "As this is our private family home and we need it to remain that way we couldn't go for that option," followed by a crying with laughter emoji.
She added: "So we are having a relaxed private blessing in front of our closest friends & family and a ceromony of our love to each other and we will register our marriage legally after…
"Hope this helps," with two black heart emojis.
In the run up to her wedding, Stacey has been putting her DIY skills to good use – upcycling many items to be used for the ceremony, including her Christmas lanterns.
She's also ditched her flaming red hair to go back to being blonde – and most incredible of all, she dyed it herself at home.
While most brides-to-be opt for the salon chair, Stacey has taken the DIY route with a £10 L’Oréal Paris box dye and at the same time unveiled herself as the latest celebrity face of the beauty brand.
Having already had her most recent red hair dye stripped out, Stacey took to the bathroom for her bridal hair makeover.
Earlier this week, she was seen on her Instagram Stories rinsing freshly chestnut locks in the sink, leaving many watchers to assume she’d gone back to brunette for her nuptials.
The dye she actually went on to use is L’Oreal Paris Préférence Hair Colour in shade 9.12, a cool light ash beige blonde, which perfectly explains her comment to fans earlier in the week.
She told her followers: "I'm just trying to get it back to my colour that reminds me of me, like, not my childhood colour but what my colour was like when I was little because I don't know why.”

"I change my hair all the time which I LOVE but for this day in my life I just wanted it to be as soft and natural as possible even though it's defo not natural," she added.
Sharing the incredible finished result, the new L'Oréal gal said: "I love home dye kits because they’re so easy and affordable when you fancy a new look.
"I’m really excited to be blonde again."
