Strictly’s Janette Manrara cradles baby bump as Ashley Roberts plants kiss on belly
Pregnant Strictly pro-dancer Janette Manrara had her belly kissed by Ashley Roberts, as they played about in the sun.
Wearing a loose fitting blue dress that covered her baby bump, Janette – who quit the hit BBC show in 2021 – posted a video on social media dancing with Pussycat Dolls star Ashley.
Throwing some shapes in her back garden, the pair were seemingly having the time of their lives as they danced the Conga – and Ashley was clearly so loving the dancing professional, she bent down to kiss her pregnant belly.
Taking to social media, Janette captioned the post saying : "When you’re family is so far away, it’s good to know our little one will have fun aunties and uncles nearby like Auntie @iamashleyroberts."
She added:"This baby is going to have so much fun!"
And Ashely wrote: "Conga da bump."
The pair first met when Ashley competed on Strictly back in 2018 and they have remained firm friends ever since.
But it wasn't just a dancing display that Ashley gifted Janette with, the singer also gave the It Takes Two host some stunning flowers as she counts down to her due date.
Janette quit the BBC show as a professional dancer so she could focus on starting a family with husband Aljaž Škorjanec, who she married in 2017, who is also a Strictly pro dancer.
But speaking of her time out of filming to enjoy relaxation at home over the weekend, she told fans: "Loving being home, resting, nesting, watching you grow."
In February, the couple announced that they were expecting a baby together.
Sharing their joy with fans, they penned: "We’re so happy to share our special news."
The pair had considered IVF in an attempt to start a family but fortunately, Janette fell pregnant naturally.
In an interview with Hello magazine, Janette said: "I know that IVF can be really strenuous on a woman’s body and there is no guarantee it will work, so to know that this little miracle just came from a wonderful night we had together is amazing."
She added: "I think the baby decided to make Mum and Dad panic a bit before saying, ‘ok, fine, I’m coming up now'."
And she told OK! in a separate interview: "It can be frustrating as a woman to feel that constant expectation but, in saying that, we’ve been really lucky because the public have been so lovely and kind to us."
And she added: "Anything I’ve seen online about us has been beautiful. We count our blessings.”
