Tasha K Responds After Cardi B Wants to Seize Her Estate to Collect Lawsuit Money
The YouTuber is ordered to pay the ‘Bodak Yellow’ hitmaker nearly $4 million after she lost a defamation lawsuit for waging a ‘malicious campaign’ to hurt the rapper’s reputation by posting false rumors.
AceShowbiz –Cardi B is relentlessly coming after Tasha K, who still owes her nearly $4 million after the vlogger lost a defamation lawsuit. The Bronx native has filed a writ of execution against Tasha and Kebe Studios LLC to obtain the money that she won in the lawsuit.
The writ, which was filed in Georgia on Thursday, April 20, was signed off by Judge William M. Ray II. The court order states that Tasha’s property can be seized to recover the $3,868,753.47 she owes to Cardi after the raptress won the suit in 2022.
But Tasha insists that she doesn’t have the money. Responding to the move, she posted on Instagram, “Look! Sis & Law I Know you need that cause work is slow for all of us right now, but right now, I ain’t got it!”
“But let your lawyers know that when I’m up, you gone be up & stuck…You get first dibs after this irs bill gets paid,” she added in the post, which was also shared via Twitter, including a list of her debts. “But if you will take a post dated check… we can maybe work something out, ” she captioned it.
Cardi sued Tasha in 2019 after the latter made a blog post in 2018 that accused the “WAP” hitmaker of drug use and having sexually transmitted diseases. Following a trial, Cardi won in 2022 and a judge ordered the blogger to pay the rapper $3,868,753.47.
Tasha filed an appeal against the judge’s ruling, but it failed. Tasha then apologized to the former reality TV star, writing on Twitter in March, “Damn Winos! We lost the appeal against Cardi B sad day. But I’m gonna be alright. I appreciate all your love [and] support.”
“Throughout this fight. Today we throw in the white flag. What happened will never happen again,” she added. “To Cardi [and] her team, I apologize sincere. We live and learn.”
