Corden has made a habit of letting Tom Cruise drag him into scenarios that would scare anyone with a fear of heights to death.

In 2019, the Mission: Impossible star convinced Corden to late him take him up in a plane for a skydiving trip in California.

Tom joked on camera that he expected Corden to cancel the lesson, only for the host to joke that he had been trying to for days, only to learn that he saved Tom’s number incorrectly in his phone

Corden ended up jumping out of the plane while strapped to a pro, but Cruise was brave enough to do a solo jump.

He showed off his moves while plummeting to the ground long after Corden’s parachute had been deployed.

Last year, Tom got James back in the air to show off the flying skills he had recently honed on his blockbuster sequel Top Gun: Maverick.

He surprised Corden with a trip up in an old-fashioned propeller plane, which was scary enough for the host, but after some hilarious sketches parodying the Top Gun sequel, Tom took them back in the air to fly a much speedier jet, which left Corden in danger of losing his lunch. 

Helen Mirren has a rap battle with Corden

Helen Mirren was a ‘dame who doesn’t give a damn’ when she dropped by the Late Late Show in 2018 for one of Corden’s Drop The Mic segments.

After Reggie Watts announced her, the Oscar winner arrived in a royal getup with a red cape and a crown on her head. 

Corden got things off to a strong start when he rapped that Mirren was out of her depth on this side of the pond.

‘We’re in America now / Meryl Streep lives here,’ he joked to cheers from the crowd.

”You stand out not for games or banter / other shoes do comedy / you just pander,’ she replied, before throwing in a reference to her classic film The Cook, The Thief, His Wife & Her Love.

She even referenced her history of starring in risqué films — ‘You know I taught you little mister to tingle.’ 

Adele’s tearful farewell to Carpool Karaoke 

The return: Adele was the star who inaugurated Carpool Karaoke, which eventually earned its own spinoff series, and she was fittingly brought back to film the final segment of the series on The Late Late Show

The two sat down for a game of Spill Your Guts, a variation on truth or dare in which they had to either answer the probing personal questions or eat stomach-churning foods made from bugs, along with thinly sliced bull penis and salmon smoothies.

After Harry asked Kendall to rank her siblings as parents, she sniffed a ‘1,000-year-old egg nog’ and gagged, so she decided to rank them instead.

But Kendall turned the tables when she asked Harry which songs on his last album were about her, with him being forced to eat the cod sperm if he refused to answer.
