Clips from the first episode, obtained by MailOnline, see the celebrities take on the vomiting challenge and drink their own urine, leaving some of the group shaken up.
While some stars, including Too Hot To Handle’s Chloe, embraced the very gruelling tasks, others like Martin and Toby expressed their doubts, with viewers warned not to try the challenges at home.
The first stomach-churning task saw spiritual guide Sah D’Simone present the stars with bottles of their own urine, informing them they would be drinking the liquid.
They were introduced to expert Harry, who told them that he drinks his six-month-old fermented urine, with a medical warning flashing up on screen telling viewers not to try the practice.
He told the stars: ‘You guys feel like puking? Remember it’s a fear from social conditioning and it’s your job to undo that social conditioning.’
As the celebrities all looked completely shocked by the suggestion, and pulled unimpressed faces as they were given the bottles of urine.
Atomic Kitten star Kerry said after drinking her own urine: ‘Spicy!’
While Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin declared: ‘That is absolutely disgusting.’
Hard tasks: The stars, including Chloe Veitch, had to digest seeds which cause severe vomiting and diarrhoea for one task
Quitting: Megan Barton-Hanson, who is also taking part, even threatened to quit on the second day of the show as she admitted it was more extreme than she had hoped
Chloe refused to drink her own urine and instead poured it on her tongue, while cage fighter Michael made the other stars feel unwell as he gulped the entire bottle.
Love Island’s Toby was left very unimpressed and immediately spat out his urine all over the floor as he was left disgusted by the ritual.
Before also spitting out her urine, Megan asked: ‘Can you promise this isn’t going to make me ill?’
The second extreme challenge saw the celebrities take part in a ‘Pinon Blanco ceremony’, which involved the stars eating seeds and drinking huge amounts of water to make them vomit.
While Olga couldn’t take part in the challenge due to medical reasons, all the other celebrities said they would give it a try, with buckets sitting in front of them to vomit into.
Expert Chris told the stars: ‘It’s not as bad as it sounds… even the vomiting, you will enjoy it.’
However, Martin asked: ‘You’re asking us to take a drug that is so strong that my body goes ape-s**t and will make me vomit, how can that be OK?’
Chloe appeared very keen for the challenge, while Megan admitted the task was ‘pushing her to her limits’.
The celebrities all then sat around in a circle and digested the seeds before drinking litres of water, with all of them looking physically unwell.
Chloe shivered and was almost in tears as she admitted she was feeling very unwell, while Ibiza Weekender’s David had to rush off to the bathroom.
Chloe reflected in a voiceover: ‘I started to panic and go into the fear side of it, and that is riling me up.’

Martin remained unconvinced by the very extreme challenge, saying: ‘I’m not feeling lighter, I’m not feeling better.’
Megan also really struggled with the challenge, telling Sah that the show was much more extreme than she initially thought it would be.
She said: ‘I feel like I’m struggling, physically and mentally, it’s more extreme than I thought! Even earlier, them seeds wow, I’ve never been sick like that. And trust me, I’ve had a lot of hangovers, but that was a new kind of sick.’
It was previously reported that Megan pulled out of the reality TV show, and she threatened to quit at the end of the first episode, which ended on a cliffhanger.
She confessed: ‘I feel really bad because everyone has been so positive, it’s been hard because I don’t want you to think I’m not part of the team, I just feel like it’s not the right time for me to be at this retreat. I am definitely growing but it’s so painful.’
Despite the other stars urging her to try for another 24 hours, Megan looked very unconvinced after becoming shaken by the two first very gruelling trials.
Across the course of the show, the celebrities will also take part in even more extreme challenges, pushing them to their limits both physically and mentally.
Led by experts, they will also face challenges including snail facials for anti-aging, coffee enemas to detoxify the body and screaming therapy to release pent-up stress and emotions.
The stars will also undergo open grave therapy and snake massages and will be forced to dig deep inside themselves to let go of the past and conquer their obstacles.
The show features some things never seen before on TV as it proves itself to be one of the most gruelling reality shows yet.
In November, it was reported that former Love Island star Megan quit the pre-recorded show after just two days of filming.
It is claimed Megan decided the bizarre wellness treatments were too much and so she jumped ship.

A TV insider told The Sun: ‘Megan realised very quickly into filming that the show was a bit too much for her.
‘The ‘treatments’ are really full-on and quite radical, and she just felt like she had bitten off more than she could chew.
‘It wasn’t the show’s fault, they were upfront about what she was signing up for, but Megan didn’t really appreciate the reality of how intense it all would be until she got on set.
‘Producers were gutted and tried to persuade her to stay, but she just couldn’t stomach it.’
