The Chase’s Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan looks unrecognisable with blonde makeover
The Chase favourite Jenny Ryan, AKA ‘The Vixen’, looks unrecognisable with her new blonde hair.
Known for her statement 60s spectacles and red hair – usually styled in a beehive with a pony tail – Jenny, 40, shocked Celebrity Lingo viewers as she appeared on the show with bright blonde locks.
Joined alongside ITV’s Dr Ranj Singh, the well-known Chaser completed her new look with a bold print wraparound dress and statement glasses.
Jenny first debuted her blonde tresses over the summer.
Dr Ranj and Jenny proved very successful on Celebrity Lingo, which aired on Sunday 25 September, winning just short of £20,000 for charity as they made it all the way to the final.
Viewers were quick to applaud the pair, branding their win as “superb”.
“Dr Ranj and Jenny Ryan win the jackpot with just two seconds remaining! Eeek!” said one person. “That was very clever indeed!”
“Superb Well done Dr Ranj and Jenny”, wrote another.
A third said: “So incredibly proud of Jenny and Dr Ranj for absolutely smashing it! Proud is an understatement but I am so incredibly proud to be #TeamVixen & #TeamJenny always”.
“Great work from Jenny and Dr Ranj. Even better to see a very helpful £18,200 go to a UK charity that focuses on food banks. The sort of charity that celebrities should play for unlike some questionable choices over the years on these sort of shows. #CelebrityLingo”, penned another.
Before finding fame on The Chase, Jenny appeared on a string of prestige quiz shows, including University Challenge.
Jenny's first quiz show appearance was in 2003, when she helped the University of Leeds to reach the semi-finals of the hit show.
Three years later, she appeared on Mastermind, where she selected American TV drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer as her specialist subject.
Following this, Jenny featured on the BBC quiz show Are You an Egghead? in 2008 and 2009, before going on to star on Only Connect as part of a quiz team named The Gamblers.
Jenny's other TV ventures include The Weakest Link and Fifteen to One, and she's even worked as a QI Elf on the popular BBC Two show QI.
Alongside her TV appearances, Jenny wrote questions for many game shows and in 2009 she was asked to write for the pilot episode of The Chase.
She went on to become one of the infamous Chasers after Anne Hegerty recommended the 40 year old in 2015.
