Tom Daley shares adorable first pictures of ‘perfect’ son Phoenix Rose after welcoming second child

Tom Daley has shared the adorable first snaps of his newborn second son, Phoenix Rose, after making the surprise announcement of his arrival on Tuesday.

The 28 year old Olympic diver welcomed a second son with his husband, Dustin Lance-Black, 48, via surrogate in March. The pair are also parents to son Robert, who was born in 2018.

Making his official baby announcement on Instagram, Tom shared two snaps of the new family, as he and Dustin could be seen wearing matching white tops and blue jeans as their eldest son reached out to their youngest.

In the second picture, a besotted Tom beamed at the camera whilst cradling little Phoenix, who looked adorable in a blue knitted cardigan with a grey love heart on it.

Tom captioned the post: "PHOENIX ROSE BLACK-DALEY.

"Our family has grown in the last week, we welcomed Phoenix to the world on 28/03/23 and he’s just perfect.

"Robbie is loving being a BIG BRO!"

His followers rushed to comment their congratulations on the post, including Joe Wicks, aka The Body Coach, who wrote: "Wow congratulations," with plenty of red love heart emojis.

Another follower commented: "Aaaahhh!!! Congratulations! You’ll never feel fully in control again," as a third said: "The perfect family. Congratulations @tomdaley and @dlanceblack for being such an inspiration to so many people."

A fourth said: "Love love love…. Congrats to the growing, beautiful family! Can’t wait to meet Phoenix! (love that I had to find the new emoji with two kids!)".

Team GB even commented: "Massive congratulations to you and the family!".

Tom's husband, American screenwriter Dustin shared a family snap to his own Instagram page, as he wrote: "And then there were four. Our second son, Phoenix Rose Black-Daley, arrived at 3:34pm on March 28, 2023."

Tom and Dustin announced their baby joy in The Times on 4 April, and shared that their second-born was born on 28 March.

The low key announcement read: "Black-Daley on 28th March to Thomas Robert Daley and Dustin Lance Black, a son, Phoenix Rose."

Tom and Dustin recently celebrated ten years since they shared a chance meeting on a fateful night in Los Angeles, before they struck up a romance and went on to marry in 2017.

In March, Dustin paid tribute to Tom as he shared a "picture per year" over the last decade, as he gushed: "10 YEARS AGO TODAY… I met my best friend and the great love of my life at a random dinner in Los Angeles that I had no business being at (I had a script due the next day!).

"I worried I was in real (good) trouble from the first moment we spoke. I was right. Thank you Tom for all of your love, patience, and encouragement, for building our family together, and for all of the many adventures past and yet to come."
