Tommy Mallet says miscarriage was filmed for show as he thanks fans for support
Tommy Mallet has opened up on how he and fiancée Georgia Kousoulou are doing after sadly suffering from a miscarriage.
The TOWIE stars, who were pregnant with their second child together, announced their sad news a few days earlier with a heartbreaking Instagram post, but struggled to share any more on how the family were coping at first.
At the time, they explained to fans they had "no words right now" as they faced the magnitude of what had happened.
Tommy, 30, has now thanked his followers for the outpouring of support in the days following their news, as he explained how tough it's been to move forward.
Along with a series of black and white shots on his Instagram page, the reality TV star said the couple discovered the bad news while filming, so the painful realisation that Georgia, 31, miscarried will be airing on the next series of Georgia and Tommy: Baby Steps.
"And just like that life changes, it’s been a rough few days for my family but as always we keep it moving," Tommy captioned his post.
"Georgia is on the mend and it’s mine and [son] Brody's mission to build her back up..
"We was documenting the pregnancy for our show and found out the bad news whilst filming, and as a family we’ve always said we need to keep it real no matter what," the star continued.
"So we are going to finish the show off and hopefully help some people along the way!"
Tommy added: "I’m so proud of Georgia. Thank you for the messages we really appreciate it."
In one snap, an ITVBe film camera showed one of the scenes where Tommy, Georgia and their little boy Brody were filming a happy moment during the pregnancy, as the family of three were all smiles in their home.
Another image showed the couple's little boy having a whale of a time bathing in the kitchen sink.
A third then showed Tommy cuddling up to his son as they played with boxing gloves, and another saw the little toddler running around the house in a white onesie.
Alongside a picture of her in a hospital bed, Georgia announced that she'd lost her unborn baby with a heartbreaking post last week.
"Our 12 week scan to be told our baby had not survived & I needed an op…" the star began. "12 weeks of feeling every emotion , hoping & praying but in the end , nothing else we could of done."
She went on: "We don’t really have the words to say right now except we are lucky to have amazing family & friends around us .. & most importantly we are blessed to have our beautiful Brody who we couldn’t of got through this without him.
"We will have the words soon but right now we are taking time for us as a family," she added at the time.
