Truly Crying at How Thing's Scenes on 'Wednesday' Were Filmed

At this point, I can only assume you’ve watched all of Wednesday and are fully in love with Thing. Like, truly never thought I’d be jealous over not having a disembodied hand as my best friend, but here we are.

As for who plays Thing, that would be magician Victor Dorobantu. In other words, nope: Thing is not the product of CGI, which is probably why he’s so damn lovable.

So, how did filming Thing’s scenes work, exactly? Netflix released behind-the-scene photos of Victor and Jenna Ortega working on the show, featuring Victor in a “blue screen” body suit covering every inch of his body except for his hand, aka THE STAR. Meanwhile, he also wore a prosthetic severed wrist for good measure.
