Tyrese Gibson Slapped With Cease and Desist Order After Dissing Ex-Wife Samantha Lee
The cease and desist letter arrives after the 43-year-old singer/actor called out his former spouse on social media for allegedly lying in court about him amid their nasty divorce battle.
AceShowbiz –Tyrese Gibson is urged to stop talking about his ex-wife Samantha Lee Gibson. The 43-year-old singer/actor has been served with cease and desist order after he dissed his former spouse on social media.
During an Instagram Live on Saturday, September 17, the Roman Pearce depicter in the “Fast and Furious” franchise said, “I was just sent a cease and desist letter from my ex-wife’s lawyer,” as he took a puff of hookah pipe. “Where do you get the balls? Do you know what it’s like to go two straight years and have everybody that loves you, everybody who has your back, including your attorney to tell you: don’t say nothing, don’t defend yourself, don’t clear your name, don’t speak on it, we’re gonna present it in court!”
“She claims that I kicked her out of the house with my one-year-old baby, changed all the locks at the house and cut off the credit cards,” Tyrese added. The “I Wanna Go There” crooner also talked about contemplating suicide over losing his ex. “If my life was my wife and my family, and I don’t have that anymore, what am I still here for?” he said.
The cease and desist order arrived after he called out Samantha, the mother of his second child, for allegedly lying in court about him amid their nasty divorce. Along with a clip of a woman standing on a wet rock near the edge of an ocean before she slips and slides down to the water below, he wrote, “Samantha really thought she pulled it off… God don’t like ugly….”
Tyrese further claimed that Samantha delivered “15 blatant lies under penalty of perjury.” He continued, “Drug [sic] my name and reputation in the mud and rug [sic] an unexpected divorce into 2 years..”
Tyrese and Samantha, who got married in February 2017 and are parents to 3-year-old daughter named Soraya, announced they’ve separated and are getting a divorce in December 2020. On August 30, a judge ordered Tyrese to pay Samantha $10,000 a month in child support. “This is not a punishment for you,” the judge said, per TMZ. “Put that money where it belongs, in the child!”
Despite the judge’s order, neither party will pay spousal support. Additionally, the judge agreed to Tyrese’s request that he keep a Range Rover and his former spouse was given a Land Rover instead. At the end of the hearing, the judge granted Samantha’s petition for divorce, so the exes, who announced their split in 2020, are now officially single.
Seemingly not happy with the ruling, Tyrese filed a petition earlier this month in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia in an attempt to replace Judge Kevin M. Farmer in his divorce case. In the legal docs, his legal team argued, “Because of the unprofessionalism of Judge [Kevin],” he was unable to “get a fair trial in this case.”
