Whitney Port is underweight due to being 'lazy' and 'too picky'
Whitney Port admits being shocked by her weight when she stepped on scales after her husband revealed he is ‘worried’ about her being too thin: ‘I always feel hungry… but I’m too lazy to feed myself’
- The Hills alum, 38, was responding to fans concerned about her shrinking 5ft10in figure in a bikini-clad slideshow posted last Thursday
- Whitney didn’t let the ‘comments about looking too thin’ bother her until her husband Tim Rosenman ‘brought it to my attention, as a good husband should’
- Port doesn’t ‘want to set an unhealthy example’ so she promised her 3M social media followers that ‘my health will be a priority’
Four days after showing off her six-pack abs in a bikini-clad slideshow, The Hills alum Whitney Port-Rosenman admitted to her concerned 3M social media followers that she’s underweight but it’s ‘not something I strive for.’
Comparing pictures of the 38-year-old content creator in 2023 versus 2014, it’s clear her 5ft10in frame has shrunken to reveal the outline of her sternum on her chest and she’s lost substantial muscle mass in her thighs.
Whitney didn’t let the ‘comments about looking too thin’ bother her until her husband of seven years Tim Rosenman ‘brought it to my attention, as a good husband should.’
‘[Tim] said it’s not just something strangers are spewing. He has been worried about me,’ Port wrote via Instastory on Monday.
‘I had to think about it and try to figure out what has been happening because it’s not something I’m consciously thinking about! I eat to live, not the other way around. But after stepping on the scale, it hit me.’

The LA-born socialite continued: ‘I always feel hungry but I just don’t know what to eat. It’s not how I want to look or feel though. My excuses are that I’m too lazy to make feeding myself a priority or I’m too picky when it comes to taste and quality.
‘Both are unacceptable and I don’t want to set an unhealthy example so I promised Timmy and I’ll promise you that my health will be a priority.’
On Sunday, Whitney gave fans a glimpse at her diet by Instastorying a snap of her groceries from the ‘lovely’ Pound Ridge Organics in New York – which included blueberries, salami, spinach, potatoes, carrots, and cheeses.
Last Thursday, Port posted an Instagram slideshow called ‘Going for it’ featuring her skinny legs relaxing at the beach, which left a portion of her fans concerned over her weight.
When Instagram user @hopperfan asked the Love, Whit designer – wearing a Jeminé bikini – how she got her ‘insane abs’ another user called @itscourtneyvandewaal replied: ‘Not eating.’
Other fans left comments about Whitney looking like a ‘skeleton’ with several more just hoping she was ‘okay.’
This Thursday, Port and her 46-year-old bearded beau will throw a backyard Star Wars-themed party for their son Sonny Sanford’s sixth birthday.
The USC grad and Rosenman’s only child graduated from preschool Exploring Minds Montessori on June 16, and they plan on spending the entire summer visiting family in Vermont and New York.

Whitney and Tim are ‘seriously’ considering hiring a surrogate to carry one of their frozen embryos after suffering a chemical pregnancy and three miscarriages in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
‘We’re right now, going through the motions of surrogacy, like, really thinking seriously about that and we have embryos [stored],’ Port told Us Weekly on July 6.
‘I’m still figuring things out and nothing is, like, 100 percent yet and so it’s one of those things where you’re scared to put it out into the universe until you know what’s happening. But for me, like, I suffered from secondary infertility, and it has just been such a process both physically and mentally to get to that second baby.’
Whitney stressed that she and Rosenman are ‘not in the journey yet’ but hopes it happens ‘soon’ as she wasn’t able to be a ‘present, happy, decent version’ of herself when she was physically pregnant: ‘We’ll see!’
Last year, Family Match Consulting founder Stephanie Levich told TODAY that the total cost -including surrogate compensation, agency fees, legal fees, insurance, etc. – of the process is approximately ‘$125K to $175K.’
Port originally met Tim while he was working as associate producer on her MTV spin-off, The City.
Rosenman not only shoots and edit Whitney’s YouTube vlogs, he currently stars in her reaction videos to MTV reality show Siesta Key.
Tim’s last real producing credit was on Fox music competition The X Factor way back in 2012.
Port keeps busy recording her Dear Media podcast With Whit and she’s every bit the influencer doing paid partnership posts for brands like Hertz, Stanley 1913, and Amazon.
