Will and Kate Are Going to Be "Trying to Avoid" Harry and Meghan When They're in the U.K.
Today in the never-ending saga that is the royal family feud drama, a royal expert has gone on the record predicting that Prince William and Kate Middleton will actively avoid so much as casually running into Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the Sussexes’ upcoming trip to the United Kingdom.
That royal expert is author Christopher Andersen, who seems to be working the press circuit to promote his new book, The Day Diana Died.
“It’s going to be interesting in the next few days when Harry and Megan go to Europe, and they’re gonna be playing royal hide and seek,” Andersen told Us Weekly when the topic of Harry and Meghan’s travel plans came up. “Right now, the Cambridges have gone to Balmoral [Castle] … and [Prince] Charles and [Duchess] Camilla are there. They’re out of the way during the first part of the Sussexes trip to Britain, but on [September 8], the Sussexes return to Britain from Germany. They’re going to be, literally, a brief stroll each other on the grounds of Windsor because the Cambridges have to [return in time to get their] kids in school.”
This is in line with other reports that have come out in the lead-up to Harry and Meghan’s trip. Royal sources have said (per The Sun) that the couples have “no plans” to meet up while they’re all in the same country, but Andersen seems convinced that the former Fab Four will go further, and enter the realm of comical active avoidance of each other during the visit.
“It’s gonna have all the markings of an old fashioned farce with these people trying to avoid each other,” he said. “They don’t wanna see each other because everybody’s worried about the [Duke of Sussex’s upcoming memoir]. Harry’s book is gonna be loaded with, obviously, bombshells.”
This all pretty much tracks with, well, just about every other royal family report since the royal exit.
