Amanda Holden looks incredible with Barbie blonde hair transformation
In case you missed it, the new Barbie film has already taken the world by storm, despite not being released until July 21.
It’s already spawned a new trend, known as Barbie-core, that embraces everything pink, blonde, and hyper-girly, and it looks like Amanda Holden is the latest celebrity to get on board the Barbie train.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge showed off a brand new barbie-blonde hair colour in her latest Instagram posts, as she shared a look at her outfits ahead of the BGT live shows.
However, as the live shows began, Amanda’s new hair colour was noticeable as she shared a preview of her outfits each night on her Instagram, with an obvious colour change between the snaps of her outfits from the recorded shows, which were taken weeks earlier, and the looks before the live shows which were taken on the day.
Although she’s always been known for having blonde locks, Amanda’s preferred shade of blonde is typically a more subtle, warmer toned blonde with beige undertones. Her new colour, however, sees her embrace a much brighter, whiter blonde tone that fully embraces the Barbie-core trend.
To keep it looking more natural, Amanda’s new platinum colour has been given a more shadowy shade at the roots, whilst the mid-lengths and ends have been lifted from a warm-toned blonde to a far lighter and cooler shade of blonde, with platinum highlights throughout to give it some depth.
The new look was first debuted as Amanda revealed her outfit for the first night of live shows, as she wore a bright yellow latex floor-length gown from Atsuko Kudo Couture Latex Design, although her new hair shade was even more noticeable in her look from the following evening.
As Amanda donned a sheer nude dress covered in embellished flowers, her white blonde hair stood out even more against her tanned skin and the nude colour of the dress, making the new barbie-approved shade hard to miss.
Amanda has managed to stick to her signature blonde colour whilst still finding a way to make her transformation quite dramatic, showing that blonde hair can still have an impact even with a subtle makeover.
The BGT judge has previously spoken about her love of being a blonde, tellingHello! Magazine: “I will always be blonde. Each to their own – I have some friends that are embracing age, some people that aren’t. My mum stopped dyeing her own hair around 60 and she’s got really gorgeous, soft-coloured grey hair… But for me, it’s not something I’m going to do.”
Now all Amanda needs to do is pair her new Barbie-blonde hair with a showstopping pink ensemble, and the Barbie-core transformation is complete.
