Baffled mum says cheese grater ‘doesn’t work’ – but son points out daft blunder
A puzzled mum left her son in stitches after complaining that her new cheese grater wasn't working – until he pointed out her "too funny" blunder.
Joyce, who was growing increasingly frustrated with the seemingly flawed utensil, just couldn't understand why it wouldn't do its job.
She turned to her son for help and it didn't take him long to establish the problem.

His poor old mum had been trying to grate the cheese while the grater was still in its protective wrapping and had been rubbing the block against a sheet of plastic.
The lad, who posts on TikTok as @grumsterr, shared the story on TikTok, leaving viewers giggling.
He uploaded the clip to the app with the caption: "Joycey needs specks."
In the clip, which has gained more than 800,000 views, Joyce can be heard pointing out the ridges on the grater, apparently still perplexed as to why it wasn't working.
Her son chuckled: "I'm taking a video so that everyone knows what you've been doing. Mum's moaning because the cheese isn't grating.
"Do you know what's wrong with this? It's still got the cellophane wrapper on it, look!"
Even as her son explained what the matter was, Joyce continued to protest, insisting the wrapper hadn't been on last time.
This excuse elicited an exasperated 'honest to God!' from her son, further delighting his cackling followers.
One person giggled: "I thought it was just my mum who can never admit she's wrong, 'it didn't the last time'."

Another guffawed: "Hahahaha the wrapper magically went back on itself."
A number of others admitted they were 'just as bad as she is', confessing they'd just assumed the issue was that she'd been grating a block of butter, not cheese.
A third person wrote: "Not me thinking she tried to grate a block of butter. I need new specks."
