Britney Spears Selling $12 Million Mansion Only Months After Buying It

Britney Spears upgraded when she bought an $11.8 million home in June. However, it looks like the pop star is regretting the purchase, as she’s already put it back on the market.

Britney and her husband Sam Asghari purchased the 11,650 square foot home last summer. It sits on 1.6 acres in the Calabasas.

At the time, it was noted that the estate was close to the home of Britney’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline. The former couple’s two teenage sons stay primarily with him.

However, TMZ reports that sources can confirm the singer is planning to sell the property with the start of the new year. The publication says the reason is simple – “just hasn’t fallen in love with the new home.”

Britney and Sam may move full-time into her Thousand Oaks mansion, which she purchased in 2015 for $7.5 million.

This isn’t the only property Britney recently put on the market. In September 2022, it was reported that she was selling her Florida condo, which she owned for over a decade after buying it in 2009 for a little under $1 million.

Britney only listed the property for $2 million. It came with over 2,500 square feet of living space, including 3 bedrooms and 3 bathroom.

The singer’s sister Jamie-Lyn Spears previously received backlash for referring to the condo as hers on social media. “We have a condo in Destin, Florida, and it’s the best getaway!” she tweeted when asked by a fan what her favorite vacation spot is.

However, court documents later proved Britney had purchased it. Jamie-Lynn later responded to the criticism via Instagram.

“I don’t own a condo, and I can assure you that no one has ever bought me a place at the beach, because I prefer my beach vacations at the Ritz anyway,” she wrote. “Simple FACTS. Y’all need to stop reachin’.”

Britney was released from her years-long conservatorship at the end of December 2021. She accused her conservators (which included her father) of controlling all aspects of her life.

The singer said that she wasn’t allowed to remove her birth control and marry her long-time boyfriend.

However, Britney and Sam married in June 2022, despite reported contention over their pre-nup. Before their wedding, sources claimed that Britney didn’t want to be involved with negotiations, and was leaving it up to Sam and her legal team. Britney is worth an estimate $90 million.
