Cara Delevingne swaps her blonde hair for a glossy ‘pumpkin spice’ colour
This season’s top hair colour is a “pumpkin spice” shade – and it’s not just reserved for Instagrammers and TikTok users. The A-list are also keen to get in on the spicy action with autumnal transformations of their own.
The newest star to go to the copper side is Cara Delevingne, who just broke Instagram with a fiery new look. Cara’s transformation can be seen in all its glory on her hair colourist’s page, where she poses for a carousel of snaps with her new hair.
“@caradelevingne’s new colour and length are still going strong!” Hollywood-based celebrity hairstylistNikki Leewrites.
Cara, 30, smoulders in the images with a spicy copper hair tint, likely added semi-permanently over her natural mid-blonde base shade to give it more warmth and tone. She also matches the hair colour with smoky makeup that resembles the colour of autumn leaves. All-in-all, the look is cosy season perfection – and her fans agree.
“This is SO good. About to recreate this makeup look ASAP,” comments one follower under Nikki’s post.
“Can’t get over this transformation!” says another, while a third adds: “I’m in love.”
If you’re inspired by Cara to try a warmer tone for autumn/winter, you’ll be delighted to learn this kind of hue is actually very easy to achieve at home or in a salon. It’s also a colour trend that’s set to stick right through to the new year.
“Reflecting the warm hues of pumpkin spiced lattes and autumn leaves, it’s no wonder salons are seeing an influx of requests for auburn and rust shades,” explains Tyler Moore, expert stylist atLive True London.
“There are so many different ways to do copper and auburn hair, from an allover colour to a more subtle auburn balayage. It’s a look you can really make your own.”
If you need more celeb inspiration for your own copper hair transformation, look to Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya, Kendall Jenner or Lily James, who have all debuted their own versions of pumpkin spice hair in recent months.
Since red tones wash out of the hair so quickly, what’s stopping you from updating your look this October?
