“Cheer” star Maddy Brum is on the road to recovery after being hit by a car Tuesday.
Brum shared on Instagram Thursday that she was struck by a vehicle going 20 to 30 mph while crossing a street in Kansas City, Mo., with her co-stars and “bestest friends” Angel Rice, James “PeeWee” Thomas and Javon “Jay” Kendrick.
While Brum wrote that she was “only left with bruises and cuts” from the scary accident, she shared photos of herself in a hospital bed.
“I’m feeling extra blessed today. Blessed to be alive and blessed to be surrounded by people who give me nothing but happiness and comfort,” the cheerleader told her fans.
Brum had been traveling the country on her Netflix show’s live tour before the incident. She wrote that crew members from the tour helped rush her to the hospital to seek medical attention and also introduced her to an orthopedic surgeon.
“I will be doing the tour to the best of my ability for the next few shows. I am so unbelievably thankful that I am still alive and still get the opportunity to do what I love,” she wrote, noting that her “ROCKSTAR” friend Deidra replaced her “on such short notice” for one stop of the tour.
Brum concluded her post by telling her friends and followers how much she loves them, which they reciprocated in the comments section.
“I love you Madison 🤍 got them guardian angels around you 🙏🏽,” former “Cheer” star Gabi Butler commented.
“I’m so thankful it wasn’t worse! ❤️❤️❤️ I love you!” Navarro College cheerleading coach Monica Aldama added.
“I’m so glad that you are okay. Love you ❤️ Get better quick!” a fan echoed.
