Couples perfect wedding proposal ruined after tourist steps over mans foot

It's not an easy task to execute a wedding proposal – whether it's an impromptu one or a carefully planned affair.

Popping the question is nerve-racking and requires a lot of thought.

So it comes as no surprise that a tourist was slammed for walking into the background of a wedding proposal to take pictures of a scenic waterfall.

Jordan Elizabeth, who recently got engaged, said the tourist "ruined" her proposal video.

She shared the moment on TikTok and asked viewers' to share their thoughts.

"Honestly I find it funny, no harm done but it's a laugh to watch," she said.

Jordan and her boyfriend were taking pictures at the viewing platform in front of Gullfoss Falls in Iceland.

While their friend was holding the camera for them, her partner got on one knee and took a ring out – asking her the big question.

As she was taking in the moment and getting ready to say "yes", a woman wandered close to her boyfriend and seemingly stepped over his foot.

The tourist ignored the couple and panned her phone towards them to take pictures of the natural landscape.

In the series of wedding proposal photos that Jordan shared, the tourist remained visible in the background.

"That was absolutely on purpose, I would have words with her," a viewer said.

A second fumed: "I understand culture barriers exist but… that seems quite a universal thing NOT to do? Beautiful backdrop though."

And a third wrote: "I see the funny side but it's quite concerning how completely oblivious some people are to their surroundings."

Jordan called the woman's act a "little photo bombing action – and added that she didn't notice her when they were celebrating.

She said: "It's really crazy! Think it's just common decency isn't it? Like how you would miss us."

Others offered to help Jordan and were happy to edit the woman out of her proposal photos for her.
