Diplo continuously chows down clementines during July 4 DJ set

EDM star Diplo didn’t take a lunch break while DJing a party in the Hamptons this weekend, continuously peeling and popping clementines in his mouth during his set. 

The DJ was playing a Fourth of July party in Sag Harbor at CJ Boogati’s MTRX mansion, hosted by Anna Rothschild in front of guests like Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s Layzie Bone, when a spy noted that he was citrus snacking while spinning. 

“He had a bowl of clementines or tangerines, tiny oranges, on one side of his equipment,” explains the spy who says there seemed to be a system in place. “He would peel them while he was playing and then a guy would come by and clean up the rind of each clementine.”

Adding of the fruit-tine, “Diplo would take one from the bowl and set it on the other side of the equipment apart from the others. That was the next one he’d eat. He must’ve had like six of them.”

A source tells us Diplo is such a fan of the produce it is included in his rider.

A rep for the DJ and record producer did not respond to request for comment.

Diplo was all over the Hamptons during the long holiday weekend. He also played Casa Del Sol mansion in Amagansett and stopped by the Surf Lodge in Montauk where DJ duo the Chainsmokers performed.

The “Lean On,” songwriter recently partnered with cannabis beverage company Leisuretown, to launch THC-infused drinks. Flavors include Cherry Vanilla, Ginger Berry, and Yuzu Lim, but sadly not Orange.
