The first royals have confirmed their attendance for the highly anticipated wedding between Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and his bride Rajwa Al-Saif.
The pair are set to tie the knot on June 1, after announcing their engagement in August 2022 and plan to host a selection of international guests for their big day at Zahran Palace.
The reception, meanwhile, will be held Al Husseiniya Palace – which spans 40 hectares.
The event is expected to be filled with splendour, so it’s no wonder guests far and wide are confirming their invites.
The VIP confirmed guest list includes Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark and his wife Mary, as well as Japan’s Princess Hisako and Princess Tsuguko.

The Dutch monarchs have also confirmed that they will be there to celebrate with a post on their website.
‘On Thursday 1 June 2023 His Majesty King Willem-Alexander, Her Majesty Queen Máxima and Her Royal Highness Catharina-Amalia, the Princess of Orange will attend the festivities surrounding the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Ms Rajwa Khaled Al-Saif,’ it read.
Other royals who intend to join the celebrations include Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden – who recently attended King Charles III’s Coronation – and Crown Prince Haakon of Norway.
It is currently not know whether any British royals will attend the upcoming nuptials – however, the two families do share friendly connections.
In 2018, Prince Hussein hosted the Prince of Wales during a tour of the Middle East and Queen Rania is also a council member for the Earthshot Prize, which was launched by Prince William in 2020.
The family have already had a busy year marking the Princess Iman of Jordan’s wedding just months ago.
However, Hussein’s wedding is rumoured to be even more luxurious than his sister’s. The first insight into what the dress code will be has been released by Queen Azizah of Malaysia, who will also be in attendance.
She has revealed that it will be ‘more like black tie, long dress but no tiaras’, according to The Royal Watcher.

In celebration of the approaching wedding, the Jordanian Royal Family were quick to share the official logo to mark the occasion.
‘As the date of the wedding of HRH Crown Prince Al Hussein and Miss Rajwa Khalid Alseif nears, we are pleased to share the official logo to mark the occasion, which is Arabic for “we rejoice”, the The Royal Hashemite Court account tweeted. There is also a hashtag #CelebratingAlHussein.
It also shared a photograph of the couple posing with the caption: ‘From the engagement of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to Ms Rajwa Khaled bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz Al Saif in Riyadh today, in the presence of their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah.’
On Instagram, the Prince’s mother also gushed with delight, writing: ‘I didn’t think it was possible to hold so much joy in my heart! Congratulations to my eldest Prince Hussein and his beautiful bride-to-be, Rajwa.’

The Crown Prince proposed to Rajwa back in August at the home of her father in Riyadh, with both families in attendance.
Rajwa is the daughter of Saudi businessman Khaled Al Saif, CEO of the privately-owned Al Saif Group, and his wife Azza Al Sudairi.
She has studied in both Saudi Arabia and Los Angeles, earning a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in the Californian city.
