Full list of Lloyds Pharmacy sites closing in the next few months
A spokesperson from Lloyds Pharmacy told the Mirror: “In January 2023 Lloyds Pharmacy announced the withdrawal of pharmacy services from all Sainsbury’s stores, to take place throughout 2023.”
It total this means the closure of 237 Lloyds Pharmacy outlets in the major supermarket.
Several closures will take place in the next few months, over May, June and July 2023.
The first Lloyds Pharmacy site to close its doors for good will be the Sainsbury’s superstore in Civic Way, Swadlincote, on May 30.
The Lloyds Pharmacy on Fore Street in Okehampton, Devon, will also be taken over by new owners at the end of the month.
Three sites are set to close in June and a further two in July, although plans for closures are being assessed on a branch-by-branch basis so closing dates might change.
Lloyds Pharmacy told the Mirror that its teams are committed to helping patients fins a suitable alternative provision.
As part of this they are ‘keeping patients informed of when services from their specific pharmacy will end so that they can transfer their nominations to an alternative provision’.
The pharmacy company explained that the closures have followed a strategic review which blamed “changing market conditions”.
