Scott Patterson remembers being angry about filming a “Gilmore Girls” scene in 2003 that left him feeling like “some kind of a meat stick.”
The “infuriating” moment with Lauren Graham, who played Lorelai Gilmore, and Melissa McCarthy, who portrayed Sookie St. James, was all about “the butt, the butt, the butt,” Patterson said on his “I Am All In” podcast Wednesday.
McCarthy’s character accidentally touched Patterson’s backside in the Season 3 episode “Keg! Max!,” which led to a long bit about the actor’s rear. The comments apparently continued even after they finished filming.
“I had to endure that through that entire scene and many takes,” said Patterson, who played Luke Danes. “It was the most disturbing time I have ever spent on that set, and I couldn’t wait for that day to be over.
“It didn’t make me feel comfortable at all,” he continued of the “disgusting” scene. “It made me feel really embarrassed, actually.”
