Hollyoaks’ Nancy Hayton star Jessica Fox is transformed with stunning platinum highlights makeover

Finding a little bit of ‘me time’ can be difficult for new parents, and a trip to the hairdresser can be the perfect way to take a few hours to enjoy yourself and unwind.

New mum Jessica Fox definitely appreciates the benefit of getting a few hours of pampering, as the Hollyoaks star headed to the Collinge & Co salon in Liverpool for a hair makeover following the birth of her son River in March.

Jessica, who is known for playing Nancy Hayton in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks, has become known for her thick full fringe, and made sure she stuck with her signature look following a few hours in the stylist's chair.

However, Jessica did opt for a bit of a shake up with her new hair, opting for a long bob that had been styled into loose beachy waves and fell just below her shoulders, with her iconic full fringe straightened and given a blunt, eyebrow-skimming trim.

Her colour was where she went for the biggest hair transformation, however. Jessica’s hair has been a cool-toned dark brunette shade for several years now, but it seems following River’s birth the actress is ready for something new.

During her trip to the salon, Jessica shared some snaps of her behind the scenes with her head covered in foils teasing a new colour, writing: “Make me pretty”.

The new colour was revealed to be some dramatic platinum highlights throughout her hair, with the lighted colour scattered all over, with additional ones through her fringe and framing her face for a naturally sunkissed look.

The new mum took to her Instagram on Wednesday to show off her new ‘do, posting a video of her dancing and shaking her new hair on her Instagram stories.

She also posted a more permanent photo on her grid that showed off the hair transformation. as she called the appointment “like therapy”, despite having to take her son along to the appointment with her.

Jessica captioned the photo: “Oh hello, nothing to see here. Just me with my hair done for the first time in almost 6 months! Getting my hair done by@jayne_littleris like therapy for me. Not only is she a genius and always steers my hair in the right direction, she does it for my soul too.”

She went on to reveal she had to take her son along to the appointment too, adding: “I was extremely nervous about today and how it would work with River in tow but a huge thank you to@collingeandcofor being so incredibly accommodating, kind, patient and caring and a massive thank you to@nicholaswillesand River for making it work so I can feel more myself!”

There’s nothing quite like a pamper and a new hairdo to make you feel more like yourself, and we’re loving Jessica’s new look!
