I love flirting with men on dating site and my husband doesn't suspect a thing | The Sun

DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE developed a really terrible habit of flirting with men on dating sites.

The problem is I’m married with a two-year-old daughter and my husband doesn’t suspect a thing.

Listen to the NEW Dear Deidre podcast

Resident agony aunt Sally Land is taking The Sun’s legendary advice column from the page to podcast.

Each week, Sally will be joined by an expert and some of your favourite celebs to give helpful, entertaining advice to listener problems.

A brand new episode will be available every THURSDAY.

I’m 29 and he is 34. Everything began in lockdown.

He was off work for two months and it was lovely having him home.

When he went back to work, I was left home alone with a newborn and all the uncertainty that the pandemic brought.

I began flirting with my neighbour who was single and thankfully I had the awareness to stop it going any further.

Instead I began messaging men on dating apps. I’ve even met with a couple for drinks.

It’s not that I’m looking for sex – that hasn’t happened but I do get a thrill from these men telling me I’m gorgeous.

What is wrong with me? How can I make this stop?

DEIDRE SAYS:  New mums can find the first years really lonely and dull.

Add to that the strict isolation the pandemic brought and it’s no surprise you struggled.

It’s positive that you recognise this habit isn’t healthy.

You can break it – start to notice when you reach for the dating apps and change your routine to avoid the impulse.

Take up new interests, get out, join baby groups and delete these apps.

I’m sending you my support pack on counselling to help and would recommend CBT in particular.
