I'm a psychologist – Love Island star is displaying alarming traits and suspicious body language | The Sun
A PSYCHOLOGIST has warned a Love Island star is showing alarming traits and suspicious body language.
Dr Arthur Cassidy is no fan of Adam Collard, the cast member who has made his return after first appearing in the ITV show's season four.
The celeb psychologist described him as “dark and narcissistic”, and warned Paige Thorne must be aware of his “choreographed flattery”.
Geordie Adam has been chasing Welshie Paige in the past week, last night asking her to be exclusive, to her delight.
He appears to have changed his ways – maybe even matured – after his infamous actions in series four left him strongly disliked.
But Dr Arthur suggests Adam, 26, is still as cunning and scheming, and in the perfect position to take advantage of Paige, 24, as the “alpha male”.

Speaking for Buzz Bingo, Dr Arthur said: “The most striking characteristic of Adam is his dominance, ultra supersonic confidence, and covert motives.
“He plays his cards close to his chest and will not reveal his motivational strategies to Paige.
“He wishes to convince her and the other girls that he is the ‘Mr Bad Guy Protector Of Women’ and especially of Paige.”
“His body language is very suspicious as he displays fake smiles and these synchronise with his shrewd calculating venturesome love tactics.”

Dr Arthur said Adam has learned “the art of self presentation”.
But he is “not really in touch with his emotions”, Dr Arthur said, and instead uses his image to attract women.
However, although Dr Arthur worries for Paige, he sees that she is “sharper than most viewers realise”, and has a prediction for her and Jacques O'Neill.
Jacques, 23, said he would wait for Paige outside the villa, after walking to protect his mental health.
Dr Arthur said: “Jacques has made the right decision to leave the villa rather than experience more humiliation from woman snatcher Adam.
“Jacques and Paige have much more in common socially and psychologically.”
Dr Arthur described where all three Islanders were on the Myers-Briggs personality types, and said because Jacques and Paige are similar, they would find their way back to each other.
There are four categories – introversion/extraversion, sensing/intuition, thinking/feeling, judging/perceiving.
Each person is said to have one preferred quality from each category, producing 16 unique types.
Dr Arthur said both Paige and Jacques have the personality type of Sensors, which means that they prefer to take information from the facts before them.
They are both realistic and see each other for who they really are, Dr Arthur explained.
In comparison, Adam shows signs of being a Intuitive, which means he collects information around him before processing in a “big picture” way.
“We can see this in his initial decision to flatter Ekin-Su, Gemma, and Danica as ‘reserves’ if Paige were to have rejected his advances,” Dr Arthur said.
Jacques and Paige also share the personality trait of “Thinkers”, Dr Arthur said.
In simple terms, a “Thinker” is someone who acts logically and a “Feeler” is someone who acts and makes decisions involving emotion. Think of it like “head versus heart”.
“Research shows that most men are ‘Thinkers’ whilst most females are ‘Feelers’ in personality terms,” Dr Arthur said.
“[Paige] is what psychologists call a ‘Thinker’. These individuals usually stay calm and cool in a heated exchange.
“She’s a decision maker and has fine tuned skills of controlling the direction of her love motives and emotional functioning.”
However, both Paige and Jacques aren't void of “Feeler” traits.
“Paige is the ‘Feeling’ type who wants to be in control of the situation (impossible with Adam as a seasoned narcissist), to experience intimacy with Jacques,” Dr Arthur said.
