I'm sick of being single I always end up getting hurt | The Sun
DEAR DEIDRE: I AM sick of being on my own, but no matter what I do I always scare off potential partners.
I’m a 52-year-old mother of three, and I’ve been divorced for more than ten years.
Since my marriage ended I’ve tried so hard to find the love I deserve, yet I find myself getting hurt again and again.
Every time I meet someone new, instead of going with the flow, I always come on too strong.
The excitement takes over, and I can’t help but jump the gun.
I find myself instantly at their beck and call, and I fall head over heels straight away.
While I don’t want to be that person, I don’t know how to restrain myself.
How can I change my ways?

DEIDRE SAYS: You are clearly a very passionate person and have a lot of love to give.
This is nothing to be ashamed of, and you should feel pride that you have such a big heart.
However, everybody approaches relationships at their own pace and it sounds like you are self-sabotaging by moving too fast.
I’m attaching my support pack How To Find The Love Of Your Life which will help guide you through the early stages of relationships.
